What type of tree clearing work? Remember tractors are not bull dozers. For the Extra $$ I would buy new then you what you have from day one.Good luck on your choice.

Mostly skidding them to processing area. Be it sawmill or log spiltter.

Daedong made all of the Bobcat tractors, and Daedong made and makes all of the Kioti tractors. They are sold in North America as Kioti and sold under the Daedong name in the rest of the world.

There is talk of Bobcat selling tractors again this year, and the rumor is that Daedong will again make them. The original Bobcat tractors were essentially white rebadged Kioti/Daedong tractors with some changes in specifications. Most of what i have seen in manuals dealt with the electrical specifications.
I am sure that Bobcat owners were disappointed when Bobcat stopped offering tractors, but Most of the Kioti parts would bolt on.

Just went and took a look at it. Pretty solid machine. It has 2 rear remotes as well, that is pretty sweet! LOVE the location of the loader controls. So much more natural than out in front of you! They might be dropping it to $11,800 WITH heavy duty bush hog. Is there anything to be scared about with this machine sitting for a year and a half with little to no use? There was a small puddle of oil under the front left axle, right were it goes into the wheel, what could that be?

Who will service the Bobcat?

If you cannot answer that, do not buy it.

If your can, talk to the service manager and ask him the question on the oil leak.

It's most likely a leaking axle seal.

Do you know if the owners have the repair manual for this thing? It should hopefully show the breakdown sequence to get at the seal. Maybe someone with a similar unit can walk you through replacing it, if they've done one on theirs.

When you go to look at tractors why not take some picture of what you're seeing that you have question on? Then the questions you have might get better answers, instead of guesses. Like definitions of "small", "puddle", "oil" "under front axle".

Like me saying it didn't take me long to get to work, I took the shortest route. Then tell me how much time did it take, and which road did I take.

General McArthur told his communications officer, "Don't ever issue a communique that can be understood, always issue a communique that can not be misunderstood"

Sure, other than leaking gaskets/seals? Plenty. The fluids will likely need changing from sitting. If it's been run very little, and shut off before it got fully hot, the engine can build up contaminants in the oil, condensation can build up in the engine, and you can have rusty internal engine parts. Same with the trans internals. Was it run long enough to get everything hot (as in full operating temperature)? The fuel could be bad in the tank/lines/pump/injectors, requiring flushing and cleaning. The antifreeze could be weak, and what does the inside of the radiator look like?

Have you heard/seen this thing run? Did you get to drive/operate it? Any funny noises? What transmission is in it? Were you able to run the PTO with the brush hog on it?
