Here's a little Ventrac VS zero turn propaganda for your entertainment. My only question is why didn't they take them up that hill in the back? :laughing:

Here's a trencher on a Ventrac. It has to drive backwards and the operator has to look over their shoulder to see where they're going. On a tractor with a 3pt hitch attached trencher, the operator has to look back at the trencher in operation, but has a comfortable forward-looking position.

You got the propaganda part right. Take the useless turf tires off the zero turn and let me try with mine. I’d love to run again one mowing if anyone wants to bring one over. And I’ve never felt the need to haul 5 yards of mulch across the same path and dump on someone’s yard. Both machines failed as far as I’m concerned. You can’t leave a homeowners yard looking like that. And you’re leaving the price out of it. It cost 3 times what a premium gas zero turn would cost and twice what a Grasshopper or Kubota diesel mower would cost.

You can run the Ventrac/Steiner tractors that way and they are a lot of fun, more fun than a compact. But eventually, you are going to back over someone or have some other accident. I find that for whatever reason, turning to back my Steiner is harder than on a regular tractor.

They should have specified that the pile be six feet high. That scoop has major limitations.

Don’t worry, we’ve got plenty of water to do that. It’s supposed to rain another 8” in two days. I sure hope they’re wrong on that. It’s alright flooding in places. My place drains pretty good but it’s got plenty of water.

As you scoop the pile falls down. Not a problem. Might be a problem with some sticky material, or mulch that sticks together, though.

EEK! What a mess. I'm fortunate in that my entire place is sand or well drained muck. If it rains, it's dry in just a couple hours. Rarely have standing or running water.

As you scoop the pile falls down. Not a problem. Might be a problem with some sticky material, or mulch that sticks together, though.

It would be with packed dirt. I have to start at the top and break it loose. There’s not enough power and traction to scoop from the bottom.
