I just got back from the farm show in Syracuse, NY. Massey Ferguson had what they said were radial "snow tires" on a 1760M. The dealer I spoke with said he knew nothing about them as they just came out.

Has anyone heard/had any experience with a tire like this? It seems compelling for primarily winter usage, which would be applicable for most of my use. IMG_20190222_142707.jpeg

It probably would have helped if I took a picture of the sidewall. <Doh>

I have Firestone R-1's. Work just fine for me. The work I do does not need some type of experimental tire. I need a tire with proven abilities.

I think they are what's called an R14. There's been a few posts about the new tire. Seems to be a cross between an R1 & R4.

Nokian began manufacturing tires in 1932. Every tractor in Europe runs on Nokian tires . Every winter rally driver on the planet runs on Hakkapelitta tires same company as Nokian! The company is based in Nokia Finland. They will have seen snow!

I agree that they looked interesting. Dealer told me that they were $3,000 for the tires and then I would have to buy AG rims, also. Seemed real pricey to me! Dealer said that AGCO brought 10 sets into the states to test the market and they sold out immediately. He also said lead time would be very long. Apparently, people are buying them.
