My John Deere 990 won't start unless I put a jumper from the positive post on the battery directly to the starter....Then it starts and runs fine. I assume there is a blown fuse in the mix but can't find it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Well, that MIDI Designer patch editor for the 990 looks incredible.

I wonder if he'll expand it to work with a JV-1080 (which holds more of the expansion cards).

I tend not to do much programming on my 1080 just because it's basically menu-diving and it already has more presets than I'm likely to hear in a lifetime, but it does sound really good. Just a simple mixer interface to mix the separate channels would be helpful too.

I have no doubt that that combo would be a good time, especially if you're running a sequencer as well.

Did you try jumping to terminal on solenoid to see if you can energize solenoid and spin up starter?

If a jumper to the solenoid won't crank it and a connection to the starter motor armature does, then the contacts inside the solenoid are worn out. Look on ebay for Denso replacement contacts. It's a common problem. I replaced mine a few years ago. Same symptoms.

I'll give that a try today. Thanks

My guess is you meant to post this on another forum, not TBN?

Your other posts are tractor related. Do you have an audiophile habit as well as a tractor habit?
