33 this morning high of 54 today but cloudy and very wet another inch of rain yesterday dry today but more rain tomorrow then cold for a few days. Weather guessers rain or snow then next day rain again very confusing

10°F and the high is gonna be 27. Wind NE 9 mph. Periods of snow. So far none.

I need to go into town and refill the genny gas cans. Junior waits until we are down to the last gallon before he tells me we need more. It is always, "I thought we had more." One day he will learn. I will get 15 gallons and that may do the genny AND the lawn mower for the summer.

I may do up my taxes today, it depends on what else is happening.

Eric, my DIL tells me that you people are dealing with wild fires near you. Will they affect you?

Fires have always broken out occasionally on peat moors, but seem to be making the news more often. I am thankful the one that has been burning this week is not near us.

In the past sections of heather were periodically burnt in rotation and sheep grazing helped to keep down the rest of the scrub. Both these activities have been cut back after attack by everything-should-be-left-wild "conservationists". Lots of flammable material then builds up on the surface and sooner or later it goes up in flames, burning down into the peat below. What a surprise ...

Drinking first cup of coffee. 26° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 34° with am snow. Nice day yesterday for this time of year. Yesterday was our dogs (avatar) Birthday. Took her to groomer for a fresh look. Happy 14 year old dog. Going to local Outdoor show with Son and Grandson today. That should fill in the day.

Weather does not look good for my area next week. Probably going to see some -0° temperature Sunday night into midweek. Not much precipitation forecast.

I can use paper maps/charts. Plot a course on a chart and map. But using a good quality GPS/plotter makes it much easier. Much more information at your fingertips.

Looking, one thing I dislike is hauling fuel in a SUV or van. To many fuels. Be careful.

Rick, I remember pull fence post when I was a teenager. Used a chain, 4' oak 4X4 and tractor. Much easier than using a jack. But I like your way better.

12 right now...high in the mid-30's today.
Now, I'm reading on weatherunderground we may get a couple, three inches of snow...my stepdaughter says 6-12 inches (don't know where she got that). I hope it's the lower forecast because we sure don't need upwards to another foot of snow!
Dump run and bank run today...that's about it...

I hope your neighbor appreciates the torture his back was saved by you and your tractor. That two hours of seat time probably translated to two weeks of farm jack and spud bar, and lots of heavy lifting and dragging. He may have been healthier and stronger for it, but he certainly wouldn't have enjoyed it.:laughing:

Nice 23F mid 30's for high,maybe snow shower today and later tonight.

Look out kitchen window around 1am deer were coming and going 9 total,so I sat in front living picture window watch deer travel back and forth,at one time 4 deer were bedded under big spruce tree,counted 5 BIG Does so there good chance 3 or 4 fawns this year.
Plans for today... feed store for critter food,gas and diesel,take Mrs. food shopping,check game cam,and some slow motion puttering.
