Is there a way I can compare pricing of a particular unit without calling or visiting multiple dealers?

Trying to find accurate pricing online and not having any luck, sending e-mails to dealers attempting to get a response hasnt worked I.E no response in all cases

Im also wondering if buying out of state is a possible money saver......Im assuming at this point that by the time I pay freight any savings will have been depleted.

Im looking at a Kubota L2501 DT. I was given a price of 17,520.31 which includes a FEL

Seems like this is a good price with what little I have been able to find, if I had the option of buying from a dealer several hundred miles away and could save 1000 bucks I wouldnt do it......I like the local salesperson, Id like to keep my money in a local business but any more than a grand I would be tempted.

I need a unit with a backhoe, according to my local dealer that adds approx 7000 dollars to the bill, thats alot of money, I need to compare prices

Thanks

1. No.

However, most tractor brands have web sites which allow you to "build" a tractor with the options you are interested in. Kubota has one of the best. Web site shows MSRP. Dealer pricing is usually somewhat discounted from MSRP.

2. Backhoes are complex implements. $7,000 is about right.

Are you certain you need a Backhoe to perform the tasks you have in mind? What are the tasks?
Thanks for the info, I do need a backhoe and will have one, Ive had many discussions about this and I would rather not have another.

There is a high volume Kubota dealer in Ocala.

There is another high volume Kubota dealer in Gainesville.

Work out what options you want on BUILD MY KUBOTA then take IDENTICAL SPECS to the two dealers for pricing.

I went to Agricon yesterday.......you say high volume, its the only one Im aware of in Ocala, small place, is there another in Ocala?

I may contact the one in Gainesville.

I went on Kubotas website and the standard L2501 is 15,441. The loader brings it up too 19,775.

According to this thread I can deduct approx 10% of that to get a rough dealer estimate which brings it down to approx 17,700.

I was offered the machine at 17,520 so I guess that sounds about right

Yes sounds about right. The best advice I can give is get 3-5 quotes from area dealers, then go to the dealer you feel the best about (service, location, volume, etc) and see if they can match that lowest price (if it isnt them already).

Yes.

Florida is liberal with ag and forestry equipment sales tax exemptions. You self-declare. The state may audit exemptions but does not approve them. Discuss with your dealer.

Buying a Backhoe with your tractor will save you 1/3 over buying the same Backhoe separate from the tractor, later.

You "might" have success with the large search engines. Just type in the tractor model you are looking for and they should pop up. If memory is correct there is "machine finder," "machinery Pete", and "equipment trader".Hope have those names correct and there is one or two more.

Those search engines run about a week behind the dealers web site.

Have you checked the tractorhouse.com website? There are over 200 L2501's listed. Of course new ones say to call if you are looking for new.
I just glanced over the listings. There were some that had backhoes. Use the "under 40 HP" - Kubota listing and find L2501 on the list.
