Comparison who makes the best tractor for the money

I’m happy with my Kioti. Dealer is five miles away and on the only road between my house and town.

Kubota is two hours away..

I also have an old Mopar (70 RR), and a bunch of old Fords.

I will confess that one of the plow trucks is a Chevy, though.

I’m on the road to rehabilitation, though, as it will be replaced by a Ford.

Kubota is 537.63 cents more for the same approx. model in my area. The kioti dealer was tiny however....as in maybe 12 tractors on his entire tiny lot

For my first tractor ever, I priced tractors and noticed that the price difference between similar tractors was well within $1000.

I chose Kubota because dealer was nearby, long term brand reliability and resale value should I ever need to upgrade.

A quality dealer, reasonably close, available for coaching, is important for tractor neophytes. Most new tractors are delivered with a glitch or two requiring correction. My Kubota dealer is six miles away. I feel my local dealer continues to add value to my equipment after seven years. Dealer proximity is less important for those experienced with tractors, qualified to perform their own maintenance.

Im looking for a no frills tractor, I have 5 acres, Im working on developing the land for a future residential home and this includes moving dirt/materials, whatever stump removal I can accomplish ect ect

Based on your planned usage, I don't think you'll be very happy with a CUT. Even if you get a bigger CUT, they just aren't meant for moving a lot of dirt, unless it has already been torn loose by some construction machine. After the earth moving is done, you could use a CUT to fix the ruts and finish out the lawn. Stump removal with a CUT would be like towing a semi trailer with your pickup.

I've given up on the idea of pulling out pine stumps.

My plan is to dig down one side with the back hall and cut out what I can with a sawzall. Bury what's left

All about the size of the stump. I've taken several small ones out.

As far as 'local', some of don't have anything within 5 or 10 miles. Literally. For some, the most simple store/gas station could be 20, 30 or more miles. My closest tractor shop of any kind is at least 25 miles.

DEPENDS on "who's money?"!!!

Amen brother! Your money or his money, I have no clue!

For my money, I cast my vote (and wrote a check..) to Kubota. :)

I’m not particularly loyal to any brand, having owned Fords, Allis Chalmers, Deere, and LS.
I value dependability, dealer parts and service, and operating comfort when purchasing new equipment.

I’m of the mind that any of the brands mentioned above will do a great job for you on your acreage, but you need some seat time in all of them you can to find your best fit. For instance, one thing I can’t stand is a hump in the center of the floorboard to crawl over, or my knees hitting the bottom of the steering wheel. That is a deal breaker for me, but Others aren’t bothered by such things.

Finally an easy question. Without a doubt, Kubota. Wait, I just bought a JD, so the correct answer is John Deere of course. Probably the way I buy mine, and a lot of recommendations already mentioned, is shop for what feels right at the time. Dealer service is also important. I bought my first tractor more than 10 years ago because they seemed the most interested in selling me a tractor. This time it was John Deere.

The real correct answer for who makes the best tractor for the money is there is no correct answer.

I think your question is very subjective to each individual. For a more accurate response, I think you need to define the following words and phrases as they pertain to you.

1. Best (weight, options, specs, color)
2. Tractor (SCUT, CUT, TLB)
3. "For the money " (cheapest, value, most options, warranty )
