How you treat a dead person is not about the dead person. It's about the living. Funerals are for the living. Memorials are for the living. Tombstones are for the living. And not showing pictures of dead people is for the living. It upsets them to see their loved one in that situation. Just that simple.

So why not have funerals for animals that you loved just like human? Just that simple. If you care about your dead relative, hey, knock yourself out. But if I see your dead relative on the side of the road, why should I treat them any different than a dead skunk on the side of the road? Neither are related to me

The rabid human could only wish to meet the same end as the skunk. Instead we have to be 塗umane and let them claw their eyes out and die a slow painful death.

I'm not certain why MossRoad disagrees with you, but I completely agree with you.

The reality is we have to let humans suffer and die "naturally" when they (the human) should have the option to have themselves killed if need be IMO.

turn signal here into right lane, back on topic. You can get lime at your local feed store, TSC if you location has one. It is cheap and good idea to cover body with it.

I buried a young buck last year after I let the turkey buzzards feast on it for a few days.
Pushed carcass into a hole with bucket got a 5lb bag of lime and covered it up.

Skunks and coons need a tad more care in 'handling' them no doubt. Lime is just good insurance.
