As some of you know, my XR4145C did not come from the factory with the 3pt external position control lever. The dealer actually noticed this when he dropped it off new. He ordered the lever for me, but when I attempted to install it last fall, I noticed I was missing more than just the lever. I was missing the entire bracket that the lever system bolts to. Apparently LS deleted this feature from my tractor all together. Now I have the lever, I can make a bracket and weld it to the frame, but I am coming up with no idea on where to hook it into. I thought I did, then I saw a video on YouTube showing the back of another XR4100 and the linkage does not go to where I thought it did. But the video did not show a good detail view of the linkage, only the lever.

I could reach out to the dealership and have them come out and make it work. I can image that some custom fabrication on top of a service call would be cheap. OR I can do it myself. The 'fabrication' is very minimal, just need to know where to hook the stupid thing into.
I have gone to the dealership, but they do not have my tractor in stock.

If you have this lever on the XR41 series, could you please post a picture of it so I can see exactly where it hooks in? I am hoping I dont need to actually make anything more than a mounting bracket, but I could be wrong.

Thanks in advance!

There is a feature that should be standard on all cabbed tractors, no matter what brand it is.

I've never owned a cabbed tractor but I can clearly imagine the pain of having to go inside the cab just to lift the 3 pt sometimes an inch or so.

Mine is an XU series tractor, but I would think it should be similar.

It is a very simple setup. Both the handle and the part that the rod end connected to spin freely on the bolt. The little bracket bolts to a vertical tab welded to the cab.
To use the handle, you have to pull the handle out of its stowage point, then move it until it aligns with the hole in the quadrant that has the rod end attached to it. Then move the handle left against the spring tension to engage the hole and the move the lever up and down. When the three point is where you want it, you let the handle move to the right and disengage the quadrant, and stow the handle.

The rod end attaches to the same quadrant that the three point handle inside the cab does. Both move in unison. When you move the outside, the handle inside moves. When you move the handle inside, the rod to the rear lever moves, but moves independent of the handle in its stowed position.

While you are looking at the area in this picture, have someone move the three point control lever inside the cab, and you should see where the rod should attach.

I thank you so much! But unfortunately that is way different. Took me a second to figure out exactly what I was looking at. I really do appreciate it though!

Yes! Just need to see the linkage inside, where it hooks in. Thank you!

Does that whole handle move when you move the lever inside?
It looks like a solid connection at the handle.

Perfect! Thank you so very much! That really helps!!

That's what I was looking at doing too. But it seems like that pin does not stick out far enough to get both linkages on there? Did you remake that pin? The control is backwards too, right?

I spoke with my dealer and informed him of my struggles. He is going to order that plate with with the tab that it is supposed to hook into. That tab or ear is missing from mine. Which is why I was confused. If it had been there, this would not be an issue. Hopefully wont take too long to get it and get it installed.

Thank you all again for the help. Once I get it done, I will post a picture.
