I've had the panels mounted for some time - just getting around to making videos on the project

Curious what you paid for 100w panels. I just bought some 300w Canadian Solar brand for 63 cents/watt....$189/panel.

That seems like a very good price. Is that US dollars or Canadian? Where did you buy them from? US dealer or shipped to you from Canada?

I just saw today that Costco is advertising a 100w panel for $90 +. Sale is good for 5 days only.

US buck price. I got them from AltE store in MA. Shipped from there, truck shipping on 20 panels was little under 400 bucks.

Even cheaper today (different store) @ 56 cents/watt for 320w version.

Solar Panels - Prices

Be sure to note the column of "Minimum Quantity" in the above link....most are 1 or 2 panels, but some require full pallet load to get the posted price. Vendor column will take you to the website of the store that sells them. Pricing changes quite frequently.

"Canadian Solar" is a brand name like American Airlines. They operate in 24 countries and most of their panels are manufactured in China.

They are popular here... see a lot of them going in and LG panels.

I was surprised to learn Canadian Solar is made in China when I first heard.

Kinda like everything at Harbor Freight that says "Chicago Electric" on it is Chinese made. :D

Canadian Solar is one of the top 3 producers of panels in the world, with manufacturing facilities in Canada, China, Brazil and South East Asian countries. Lot of good panels coming out of China these days.

Not knowing better I paid about $2 a watt. Picked them up over a couple of years whenever they went on sale at Canadian Tire local store. Sorry for delay in replying
enjoying visit with family in CA. That’s California not Canada
