I have a Prince Wolverine valve (WVS11C5C1) I'm using in a 3rd function setup that I bought from Surplus Center.

Does anyone know if the Power Beyond outlet will have pressure when the work ports are activated?

Currently I have the FEL controls before the auger valve and it flip-flops pressure between the Tank and PB outlets when you move the stick, thus stopping my auger.

Here's a quick diagram of what I am trying to do...

Thank you

Have you discussed this with SC? They will know if it came with the PB plug. Usually they cost extra and come loose; you have to install them. Valves I have bought from them come with a pretty comprehensive instruction sheet. Do you have the WSM for your tractor? Worth their weight in gold.

To clarify.... I am not asking about what parts I need. I have the PB adapter already. I was asking about the *functionality* and to clarify my understanding of PB. Unfortunately, this is a system I'm adding on - so the WSM will not really help much. (and I didn't get any instructions with my valve, so I may have to call Prince tech support today if nobody can answer here)

So, maybe a better way of asking - Given the diagram above, would the PB stay pressurized with the auger turning? and thus, allow the downstream functionality of the FEL to work simultaneously? OR, would the PB on the auger control not be pressurized unless it is in "neutral" - thus having to turn on/off the rotation in order to raise/lower/tilt the auger head.

Hopefully that makes more sense...

***UPDATE: I figured it out... the answer is "no" - when the work ports are active, PB is not pressurized. So you cannot have the auger control in *front* of the FEL and raise/lower/tilt while the auger is spinning. (see below diagram for clarification)

That's my understanding of open center hydraulics, when an upstream valve is used, flow to the PB port ceases and down stream valves do not receive any flow.

If you used a valve without PB, where the tank and PB were in one outlet, and were opening that valve only part way, wouldn't the next valve in the chain see some flow?

Of course you'd want to use a valve that's built for the outlet to handle full pressure not just tank pressure.

If there were still an open center system, yes, down stream valve(s) would receive any unused flow. Easiest load will move first, then next easiest, no matter the order of the valves.
