Smart battery chargers with reconditioning modes

I did the move - move - move bit for a year or so. It got old. I have one for each vehicle now - three units. I got a special one for the BMW R1200 GSA - works with the Can-Bus system. A Deltran on the tractor. And the new CTEK is on the Ram Power Wagon.

Keep that BMW battery full. The engine and ABS needs lots of CCA starting cold. I have a 9 year old Odyssey PC680 in my oilhead that never fails to cold start my GS.

d - dry rice can work, if you have a seal-able container large enough.

I picked up the E-333 model of this Eva dry unit at Costco recently.

Eva-Dry Product Manuals | Eva-Dry Renewable Dehumidifiers

Their main page has better pictures, but don't say much about resetting the unit..... The E-333 has a flip-out 120Vac plug on the back. Once the beads are loaded with moisture, you just plug the unit in for 12-16 hours.

Another option..... stuff one of these ^ and the charger into a garbage bag and seal it up......

Good luck !

I have 9 E500's. Left out of 12 E500's. That I bought over 5 years ago. They work like a champ. I "re-charge" a few and place them in Ziploc bags to keep dry. Then swap them in various Cars, ammo cabinets, gun cabinet, etc. I usally have 2 - 3 in each car that sits and when the color changes, do the swap, plug in the 'used' ones for a day or 2, let it cool abot, into a ziploc. All I can say is I am happy with the purchase, clean smooth effective, seem durable enough (Of the three that have been removed from service, one quit heating, so couldn't re-charge, one was dropped 10ft to pavement and kinda cracked open and so forth, while one I dropped off the table, re-assembled, used for another year or 2, the it quit recharging.) Of the few things I recommend, this one is on the list.

I have 2ea 10W and 4ea 15W of these that I move around. The 10's I use for small tractor/utv/atv/motorcycle/scooter. The 15W's car/truck/BobCat Tractor/JLG.

What can I say, no batteries lost in almost 6years, all units still perform flawlessly. Most machines I have added an externally accessible power point/cigar lighter, so I can just walk up. plug it in, walk away.

I also have a CTEK MultiUS3300, that i use on a couple of 'floating' batteries used for various solar, water pump, quick DC/AC inverter use, etc. 5 plus years, still working. It basically lives on a table out in a carport and is almost always plugged in and charging/maintaining.

Of course I also have a good ol' fashioned monster that whacks a crazy amount of juice into anything that looks at it funny. :D

Yours's is the first feedback I have read on the Tender Solar... I do have applications where it beats dragging out a 100 foot cord but a Solar Tender might walk if left permanent...

Might need to revisit. Thank you for posting with link.

Looks like the 6-Volt Battery Minder is discontinued...

I wanted one as I have more 6 volt than 12 volt applications.

Sent a letter to ask if a something is coming to replace...
