Paddy field - Wikipedia

200 million tons a year from China, 10.7 from Japan, 9 for the US. Pretty small output compared to other country size & population. So ya, I'll stick by we dont have many over here compared to Asia.

I would like to see you say that to the rice farmers in my local with their private air strips, airplanes and helicopters. Sure China grows more rice because their population is huge compared to the U.S. but it takes 100,000 Chinese to grow the same amount of rice as a family of four rice growers here.

I just purchased a 2019 MF1526 with Turf Tires and mmmower (I had a GC1720 and the tires were not filled) and should have it later next week(dealer getting it ready) . The dealer doesn't have an opinion on, fill or not ,when it comes to the rear tire ballast. I am getting ballast box for the 3 pt hitch, but my concern would be for winter time when I would like to have a rear blade for snow removal (not as much weight as the ballast box). One of the mechanics advised that a customer with a 1526 complained about damage to his lawn with the tires having the liquid ballast. The dealer is not charging for this service. WoNDERING SHOULD I CALL THEM ON MONDAY TO HAVE THE TIRES FILLED..AND IF SO 40 or 75 per cent.....

Thanks again.....

I don't like turf tires on my zero turn. I can't imagine having filled turf tires.

I would have them filled up. You always have the option to drain them if the unit tears up the ground.
I have a weekend place where the soil is extremely sandy and any zero turn eventually leaves depressions in the ground if I mow in the same direction over and over. There I have to change mowing patterns all the time, no ballast in the tires, and I only use my lightest mower.

That's about like someone saying Nevada is all flat sandy desert,:D
we know thats not correct,

Quite a bit of rice is grown in the US
Where Is Rice Grown? | Think Rice

LouNY, that's an interesting link. It begins with which state is the second largest producer of rice! Just seems odd.

My rear tires came filled from the dealer with calcium chloride. My rims have been rusting and leaking for several years now and I regret their decisions to do me this favor.

I don't know that anyone uses calcium chloride anymore. In my area most use a methanol blend. Beet juice is the other option.

I had to put WWF in my worthless JDLA115 as even with my backside, wheel, weights and good chains it did not work worth a **** in snow with a two stage snow blower and the tuff tork 46 transmission is going on close to 250 hours now. If I remember right the power delivered to the axle shaft is only about 2.5 pounds of torque as it is slip differential.

The snow blower chute is a joke as it costs $130.00+ to replace as a complete part if the plastic wears out on the chute.

I get tired of hearing you get what you pay for from some of these JD dealers but the quality of build for these things is certainly a disappointment and has been since I bought it in 2011.

The pisser with this thing is that it has a shear key and stub shaft and E ring to hold the wheel in place and
the wheel is sloppy on the axle stub shaft so I am no sure how long it will go on working.
I did not buy V belts and the missing part for the snow blower this past year as I would have spent close to $200.00 buying them from the green parts store. Mind you they were much less expensive than the locals and I just dis not have the extra funds to repair it. It also made me very upset that it was shipped with missing parts from the RAD people in Canada and the dealer should have caught it as this 2 stage junk snow blower is used on several models of lawn mowers.

I have to cut the cross member brace in half so that I can change the driven belt faster as it takes four hours just to change this bloody belt and almost 2 hours to change the drive belt as I have to drop the snow blower to change that belt also.

Have you thought about putting rubber tracks on your zero turn mower? They are available for wide range of small riding mowers and CUT's.

Sounds interesting. What web site shows the rubber tracks? Thanks
