I am wondering if anyone knows if I can removed the whole manual pump assembly on this item - https://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200641751_200641751 and connect it by a hydraulic hose to this item https://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200640938_200640938...

My purpose in this is that I am in the process of building a little 3' W x 4' L x 2' deep dump trailer for my quad to tow around. I want a nice clean look. I don't want to go the winch with a boom route. I also could not ever justify spending $300+ on this little dump trailer with a dc powered pump. It want it to be hydraulic powered and I am not worried about how long it takes me to lift the trailer. It is going to see very occasional use.

One other note. The reason I could not use the manual ram as is, is because I keep reading that these things do not work without being vertical or almost vertical because of the amount of hydraulic fluid in the little base on it. I imagine if I could hook this up to the separate pump that would be irrelevant. But I really don't know that. I want it to be free of any power source if possible other than my own body.

If you put it to a single acting cyl you better put a relief in the system, that hand pump well put out around something like 10,000 psi. You can get into real trouble, also it would be super slow

I would use a double acting pump jack such as: https://m.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200641752_200641752
As long as you have the pump on the bottom, it should be fine with sitting at an angle.
Then, you could use a pair of cables and pulleys (or some kind of linkage) to connect a external handle to the handle on the jack.
