How Would You Refinish This Blade ??

I’d throw some paint in it and call it good. Maybe attempt to beat the worst of the dents out from the other side.

AUE? Is this a PPG product?

Yes. I don't have a can handy right now, but it is AUE-300 or AUE-360 IIRC. There's a hardener that gets mixed with it and seems to take a week or so to really cure well.

I believe there's a good reason to repair what you can with a hammer and buffing block rather than filling dents with body filler. I'd prefer to have a really hard, but less than perfect surface behind the paint film than a super straight surface of softer material.

We've been using Pittsburgh AUE coatings on different things for the past few years. It's a 2-part "Direct To Metal" finish. It has held up well. To name a few: flagpole, trailer, snowblower, Reading utility body, scraper blade. The only place it wore away is inside the blower housing in the snowblower. Can't fault it there with the stones it's been exposed to. I plan to use it on the 7-1/2' RFM I'm restoring.

Two part epoxy paints are always the best for projects like this!
