I've got to think it will make a big difference for ya. I don't have the before and after comparison experience, but I would think it would be noticable.
When I was moving gravel fines into my barn with just the tractor the back tires would come off the ground all the time. I ended up putting on the disc harrow to make it work better. It was so much better but then I had the space problem, the disc was big and made maneuvering a PITA. The ballast block I made has been well worth it. But I still would like to load the tires. Here's what it looked like.
Wow! You did a dang nice job! Looks like concrete at first glance! The barn sure turned out nice too! Id like to see some close up pics of the ballast block you built if ya have any. I had thought of doing the same thing with a 55 gal drum full of concrete for when I'm moving around logs this summer.
Wow! That weight turned out really nice too! I didn't notice the added touches like the chainsaw and shovel/rake holders in previous pics. You must've added something to strengthen the corners in your form after the pics because I notice your corners are not 90*. Very nice!
Ha, I looked really hard at the first pics and couldnt see the plastic sheeting. That natural light coming in is great. It would take a lot of lights to bring in that amount of light.
Kind of hard to see but I cut wood on a 45* and screwed into the form corners.
My wife is really artistic and was going to make a Kioti logo mold to stick on the back wall of the form but we didn't have time to get it done. I was pouring concrete in our hay barn and using the extra to make the ballast box. The guys pouring the floor showed up sooner than we expected.
