With all the technology that goes into phones, I find it strange that autocorrect is so terrible. I disable it.
I’ve found it to be useful in Microsoft products on the PC.
'Allot' is a word. 'Alot' is not.

Heard a guy talking about a batt-ry the other day. At first I thought he was talking about a tree for bats.

The unfortunate part is this is more common than than one would think. The day will come when more people pronounce it improperly than not.

Went into Home Depot, and asked a clerk for "Rid", septic tank treatment. She said, "it would be over here on aisle three". And then she asked, "Is the name of it 'Rid', or is the color "Rid"? I said "the brand name is 'Rid', and has nothing to do with the color. Where you from, Alabama?" She laughed and said "Yeah, I am". We both had a good laugh.
