A little late on the repost but I It takes about 1.5 gallons per hour to run this thing......

Very nice indeed. They are cheaper to buy ready to go than doing a ground up restore I am finding.

Isn't that always the case with any project?
As soon as a project is done, it seems to lose one of it's most attractive qualities.

Older , restored and beautiful tractors like this are just itching to be used. Otherwise, you save it for who knows how long, deprive yourself of all that operating entails and it winds up being sold out of your estate sale for cheap to a guy who will scrape manure with it and leave it outside all winter. That's life. Use it or lose it.

I am putting about 65 hours a year on it. Just replaced the gas gauge with an Autometer 0-30 OHMs. Also replaced the Tachometer with an India Aftermarket (Works amazingly well, very stable). Replaced the failed 12v Alternator ($20). It has electronic ignition and iridium plugs now too. Rebuilt the carb. Put a fuel cut off before the Carb to run it dry for winter, and installed an in line fuel filter behind the grass grate. Vacuumed out the fuel tank to get at some old particles that would occasionally stop fuel flow. Also replaced the oil can filter with a big K&N with a dust net over it. I have a hairline crack on the water jacket behind the carb that leaks a tiny bit, and an intermittent starter switch issue to work out and that's it... Running Rotella oil and WIX filters. Runs eally well....
