Does anyone know if the XU5065 line has a float or detent on either of the 2 standard hydraulic controls for the rear? Just bought a NH disc mower that requires a float position for a single acting cylinder and cannot find any indication of such in the manual. Did some searching on the sub-forum but came up with nothing, I'll be calling dealer on Monday but figured I'd ask hear first to see if I'm in for a big disappointment or not around this.

Thanks!

My xu 6168 came with three. The standard two remotes don’t have detects or float. The third came as part of the backhoe option. That one is detented.

Yea, many of the imported tractors don't have float on the rear remotes.
My Branson has 3 remotes with one having a detent but not a float position.
To my knowledge there are two ways make that 3 ways to get around it.
One, hold the remote in question in the lowering position for a while when getting started with a swath and do so a couple of times every swath.
Two, a manual float valve can be plumbed into the circuit to be used.
Three, if you have a loader on the tractor with a float function you can use that for the mowers single action cylinder, either by removing the loader and using the loader quick connects, or by blocking the loader in a raised position and using the loader valve or by adding a couple of high pressure ball valves into the circuit and quick connectors and using valves to lock out the loader and go to the rear or lock out the rear and use the loader.
The easiest would be removing the loader while mowing and utilizing that valve, unless your loader valve doesn't have float.

I really like the idea on the loader as the bucket does have a float.I've got fairly flat land so I'm hoping that I can just do #1 and see what happens but it's always nice to have a backup.

It's 3 years since your post and LS still offers nothing in the way of a rear remote with float function. I'm still searching since I have a ditch bank mower that needs it. Using the loader controls is a decent option but I need the loader weight on to counter balance for the rear mower when extended. Can someone tell me the best way to block my loader up so it doesn't drop when unhooked and still be able to drive around?

What you could do is shape a piece of flat stock into a U shape that would fit over your lift cylinder rod,
the cut out a thicker U to weld on the each end of the first piece, this piece just being a pad to sit on the cylinder packing and not damage it.
The first longer U shaped piece needs to be of a length to carry your loader at the desired height.
Raise your loader set the U shaped pieces (2) over the lift cylinder rods (both sides) and lower the loader down onto them.
similar to these but shorter and I would like a wider material where it sets against the cylinder packing, could just cut these shorter.

or you can stack several of this type of cylinder stop on the rods;
CS1915 - Cylinder Stop, 1-1/2" Thick - Shoup

another option would be to plumb one of these into one of your rear remotes;
