Over the Counter Strain Relief
Even though I’m careful and the only one using equipment in my shop I still tend to build little safety devices into my projects. A working lifetime of dealing with employees has created this phobia.
The top pic shows an automotive ball swivel joint and weld-on hydraulic hose support I used to provide strain relief in the event “someone” tugged the torch on my plasma cutter cart
As with most of my “innovations”, inspiration is drawn from whatever surplus parts I have on hand.
I also like using these insulated clamps for keeping cables orderly.
I used one here for providing strain relief for the work (ground) cable on the same plasma cart.
In essence this 150 pound (GVW) plasma cart could be pulled around by the cables without damage to wire connections or the machine itself.
This may probably qualify as overkill, but I consider it a little extra time spent for peace of mind.

For those building new shops, you should consider infloor anchor points before you do your pour. They will come in handy for attaching come alongs and winches for numerous tasks.
I have them inside and outside of my original shop. I used square receiver tube to make it handy for mounting benders, grinders, vises, benches or temporary platforms as well.
Takes great planning to get all those little things into the construction. I struggle to get everything and end up adding what I can. Pretty hard to add those!!!!
