Hello all, new member here. Most of my questions I had been able to find answers to without having to post, but this one has me stumped, I have also searched Google to no avail and am hoping I can get help here.
I had lost reverse in my YM1500D, which was a problem. Somehow the parts Gods smiled on me and I found a complete gearbox just an hour from home for a reasonable price. Now here's the (hopefully small) problem. My tractor had what appears to be the 'old' style transmission and this is the 'new' (per diagrams found on google) It looks like all will match up, but (warning, sketchy description ahead) there is a hole on top of the new shifter area, just aft of the oil filler cap.
I cannot see from parts diagrams what is supposed to be there - if anything.
Maybe it's a plug, maybe it should be a breather, maybe it's supposed to be a hole
- I have no idea, but hope somebody here can help answer this. If it's a real part with a real part number I can try to order one, if it's just a plug I'm pretty confident I can engineer a solution.
Thanks in advance,
Greg
