I don't have any current pics, so I guess im no help, however I had a pretty productive day. Moved an IBC tote & a half of off cuts from a mill, my neighbor works there & brings home a pickup load from time to time. Then I turned my attention to the ol' Ford 2N & got that running after sitting for about 3 years. Cleaned the points, cleaned the fuel bowl, & dropped in a battery. A real testament to the simplicity, & durability of the old design. Purrs like a kitten.

I spent the better part of the afternoon taking down and cutting up dead trees.

Why and what are the trees dead? You look high dry and green.

The 660 got used for the first time this year.

And you have the up side down............. That dosent look like it has a M-Tronic carburetor on it, thought that's what Stihl did few years ago.

Locust is insanely hard, heavy, and great firewood. I've been cutting it almost exclusively for about 10 years now to heat our house. It takes a couple/three years to dry. Best to cut it wet. If it gets dry, you can hardly pound a nail into it, but it makes great fence posts, too, as it's naturally rot resistant. Best to put the fence posts in green. It throws sparks when you cut it in low light, too.

Why and what are the trees dead? You look high dry and green.

Red oaks. It’s only about 2 feet to rock here and they just don’t do very good when they get bigger than 12-15”. White oaks seem to fair better. And we’re at about 2,000 feet elevation and it’s still pretty wet.
