Cleaned up and re-painted ol Bushhog....

Spent yesterday painting up the ol bushhog.. Cant decide if I will paint the black parts... Ordering new decals...

Nice job, but now the black parts are a little jealous of the shiny red parts

looks good. I need to have some plate metal, cut fit and then repaint ours.

I used to live in Seabrook. Off of Repsdorph rd back in very early eighties.

It's amazing how a little paint and pm on a piece of equipment will make it last longer and look better . When I do my winter to summer change over I sharpen blades sand and paint rust spots grease and check all tolerences . Every body ask me how I get 20 -30 years out of a piece of equipment and I reply just take care of it it will take care of you. My old man use to say if that guy owned a horse it would be dead in a week.:drink:

Not sure if you have been back to Seabrook too see the changes.. New highway getting expanded (146).. Most businesses are closed or re-located along 146... Seabrook will be forever be changed...

Agree 100%.. I don’t like my equipment to look like it’s “ran hard and put up wet”.... I too believe in grease and water and occasionally fresh paint...

Yes, and very different. Kemah is totally commercial now. There used to be a nice bar/lounge there IIRC called Johnny Walkers? Is Shoreacres still a speedtrap?

Tractor Supply enamel.. I’m not 100% but I think it was IH Red.. (read somewhere it was a close match too Bush hog)
No hardener.. Im a novice.. Just a little thinner with the paint ran thru a cheap gravity fed paint gun..(home depot $50)
What does the hardener get you?
