Oosik there are Congress-critters that don't know where their food comes from. The was a NY Rep. that wanted to get all the cows out of the state because of the "Methane". When asked where she would get her milk, without cows, she said, "From the grocery like I always do!" And people vote for them.

I'm going to give up hunting, and stop raising pigs and poultry. I want my meat raised in Styrofoam containers where no animals are harmed.

(I'm not sure how my comment relates to growing old but...)

I know EXACTLY how your comments, Jstpssng, related to growing old. The older we get, the MORE we can see the crazyness exhibited in our political system and those who would serve.

And Norm W - if it were just that they don't know where their food comes from............ And, I wonder who these Congress-critters think they represent. Do they represent those with similar views - similar intelligence( or lack thereof )

Lordy - I understand the principle of reduction to the lowest common denominator - - but this is WAY beyond that.

Dignity doesn't stand a chance when dealing with such rife stupidity.

I shall now step down........

As to not knowing where food comes from. I had been to a farm store and had several sacks of Pine bark in old dirty pick-up. when wife called on cell she needed some dog food and 1/2 gal mink. while parking next to a couple with children also going into store. Noticed they moved the children away from me and slowed so didn't have to walk into the store with me.
Happened to be behind me again when checking out . 10 pound sack of dry dog food and 4 cans of dog food with 1/2 gal milk. noticed the lady was looking closely into my cart.so made a comment that add a little sugar and it tastes pretty good.
The cashier that knew me could not keep from laughing.
But the lady with kids just could not figure the comment out if true or was that my diet.

If I only knew what the "blue line" was.:confused3:

Glad he explained it, since I wondered, too. The only time I ever rode one of those things was one Sunday in 1986 when my roommate and I at the FBI National Academy went to the Pentagon on my Honda Aspencade, and rode the Metro to the Smithsonian and back, but I have no idea what "line" they may have called it.

You wont put a farmer on the blue line is the difference..
The orange line goes to new carrolton. This farmer used to ride it, just not in farm clothes. Lol

Give away your money to family the minute you get sick then park yourself on the steps of your state with a sign TAKE CARE OF ME NOW!

Giving away money to your family isn't as simple as it sounds. The IRS has something called a "Gift Tax" that over a certain limit per year (I think it's $10,000?) the recipient has to pay taxes. Good old Uncle Sam wants your money after you're gone so it has barriers setup to prevent you from just giving it away pre-death.

Setting up a trust is the way to go. But it needs to be done before the "old person" becomes indigent. Preferably 5 years before or more.

I would like to ask...is it stupidity or is it they don't want people fending for themselves because the big producers can't sell them stuff, they don't get taxes. The last thing they want is for people to become independent. They don't even want people off grid. They want us all dependent and control.

It all makes perfect sense until you try and figure out who "THEY" are. Even TRUMP is supposedly just a puppet to "THEM".

The orange line goes to new carrolton.

Positive? (which I guess your certain) For some reason I always thought it was blue.

Do remember that after 6 months and seeing how high the death toll was getting for killings (remember them saying it was a record year), it was time to call it quits.
