Question: M7060HDC12 Removal of FEL valve?

On a Kubota M7060HDC12 I need to remove its FEL hydraulic control valve. Do I have to drain the tractor's hydraulic oil reserve to do this?

Is the valve below the oil level in the reservoir? I don't think it is but am not sure.

The return to tank line appears to be above the reservoir but the pump and power beyond ports are near the bottom of the tractor.

I added a 3rd function to my 9540 but I can't for the life of me remember if I had to drain the oil. Sorry.
