All I have to say is "was it worth the $200 bucks?"
That being said, I have found it has become the norm to not really care about customer service whether it be tractor dealerships, car dealerships or auto parts stores.
And why so **** about the color of the grapple? Do you have forks for your tractor and if so what color are they? LOL

It was worth the $200 difference to finally get what I wanted, but not worth the stress. As far as being ****.....I don't think the black grapple looks as good as the matching Kubota Orange one. Yes, I know that's **** on one hand, however its the same difference as ordering a blue car and they give you a red one to me. I like my equipment to not only operate great, but look good as well. The black Grapple looks almost "cheap" compared to the matching Orange one. Just a personal preference.

Customer service has gone downhill at many places, folks making promises that they know cannot be kept, just to get the dollar.. not realizing that long term business will suffer, but what is a person to do? At work, I get emails from incompetent sales reps almost daily, trying to sell invalid configurations because their lack of product and service knowledge. They always wait until the last moment and then it is an emergency of course.

Best sales rep I ever worked with (been a number of years since he retired) would take the service guys to lunch several times a month. He worked the leads coming from service folks working at his accounts. He had great communication between sales and service, knew the products and services well (or when needed brought in expert).

The dealership lied to you so many times that I lost count. I went through this with a different brand and will no longer support that dealer by giving them any of my money again, and letting everyone that I know how they lied to me over and over again.

What happens now if you have problems with your grapple?

I realize it's too late now, but why didn't you have the dealership that you know and trust do all the work, and just buy a grapple from somebody else? I guess I know the answer, you didn't know that the other dealership would be so dishonest.

I think that is called .....learning from experience.

I've only had one bad situation. Traded in a vehicle for a new one. The dealership, for whatever reason, did not transfer ownership. About a month later the State Police came out to visit me. A vehicle, still registered in my name, had received numerous traffic tickets. It had to be straightened out. I was more than pleased to show the police officer the document verifying my transfer of ownership over to the dealership. He was very pleased to see the document also. I was in the clear - they were on the hook.

Have you bought a car lately:confused3. They are all over you , in out one and done! Right up to the point where you sign that paper. After that it’s just pure **** . Nonstop litany of screwups and never ending PHONE TAG! They’re scrambling around like roaches until they are doing something not shoving wads of cash in the door then they are GONE. Just like roaches. I bought a car from a dealer back in mid March. They take care of everything:thumbdown:. I’m still running around with a paper tag trying to get those toads to get me my registration. Phone tag all this week and last:fiery::fiery::fiery:

That’s very true. But tractor dealers tend to be more closely held, family operated businesses. My dealer was great. He told me that his reputation is everything and that in a small town, he’d go out if business if word got around that he wasn’t treating his customers well.

People have little capacity to observe their own behavior. If I realize, I tell people I will call them and don't, I change that behavior. It's not that hard! And then, I say, hey I'm really busy, or emergency stuff comes up, so best you try and call me.

It's why when asked if I want Joe Blows VM, I always say, I would rather a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. If Joe Blow is a busy man, I will wait a long time or forever for him to call me. And I get that, but don't pretend you are serving me in any way useful offering me his VM. Same for giving me an outside Sales persons cell phone number.

When I buy a NEW implement, I want it POWDER COATED, and orange. If that option is available. The price of the powder coat is built into the price of the implement. You might as well get the color you want, otherwise you paid for the black powder coat just to cover it up with a crappy rattle can job.

If it was powder coated, I would tell them to keep it.
