Oil & Fuel Best spray multipurpose lubricant

Never heard of it or noticed it at the stores that I shop. My current favorite is Fluid Film

Boeshield, as it's name would imply, is an anti corrosion product developed by Boeing for aircraft corrosion protection.
It is not actually a consumer product, but is an industrial quality product.
Industrial products are often considered to be superior to consumer grade products.
Sort of like Kroil. Can't buy that just anywhere either, but it is a superior, industrial quality, penetrant.

Boeshield is available on Amazon, and Newegg.com

I use an assortment of lubes depending on the equipment and the desired outcome. Do I need a dry lube, high temp, low temps, what metal, plastic, lubricity vs penetration, protection against elements, and how gummy can the lube be? I like having options!:2cents:

I also take into consideration what affects any particular lubricant has on different materials located next to what needs lubricating.

When it really come down to it, what's the best multipurpose lubricant is just like what's the best engine oil, hydraulic oil, etc. and is mostly a matter of personal opinion.

Fluid Film for corrosion prevention, but I might go to Woolwax for my next undercoating.

Seems WD-40 started a market for light weight, multi-purpose lubricants that are now sold most everywhere under varying labels. I find that that type lubricant doesn't do what I want done most of the time. I find myself using the PB Blaster penetrating oil for most all my quick lube jobs that involve metal. It stays the course.

I also use Boeshield. Mostly use on my woodworking tools such as table saw, jointer, etc., but also use it on my tractor. I like it best of the lubricant/protectors. It is a bit expensive, but very effective. Ever try getting rust marks off of a cast iron table saw top? Not fun, i.e. impossible.

As Industrial Toys said though, anything beats nothing every time.

I'm partial to PB myself, but it depends on the job. WD is fine for squeaky door hinges, etc. and is less messy.

Curiously, does anyone sell those little plastic straws separately? It's always the first thing that gets lost.

∆ I found that not all straws are the same diameter.. Just don't fit sometimes...!

They do well straws on Amazon. And they're kinda saying they're all the same...:confused3:

Have a cup on the shop shelf that stores used nozzles and straws from empty spray cans.
My 3’x5’ steel plate welding bench is central and most used surface in the shop. Wiping with the smallest amount of Corrosion-X keeps it rust free and all the various clamps, hold downs and bolts. From lug nuts, spark plugs, stainless fasteners that tend to gall, to equipment that has to be rebuilt, maintained or cleaned every ten years it makes a difference. Boe shield T-9 is similar product that works very well too.
Oil is cheaper than metal. Using the best usually cost less in the long run. Little bit of prevention saves lots of time and money later. Make it easy on the next guy doing maintenance/repairs. I’m usually the next guy.
