Trailer for a LS3025

I致e owned my 3025 for 18 mths and have been borrowing my friends 16 7k trailer. I知 wanting to buy my own trailer and want to make sure I知 not going to make a mistake. I壇 buy a 20 10k trailer if money wasnt an issue and I found a good deal one on but they tend to be pricey and I cant find any good ones.
I知 pulling with a f150 9600lb tow capacity. I found an 殿verage condition 16 7k hydraulic tilt trailer for 1800. Tilt would be nice, needs tires soon looks like. Wood bed is ok. I wouldnt be able to haul tractor and cutter and fel at same time but I知 used to that any way.
Any reason why i shouldnt buy this trailer? Thanks!

If it's needing tires soon, then add at least another $200 to the cost, maybe brakes?...a few more bucks... So maybe a total of $2000-2100. Not sure of other prices in your area, but I just got a price on a 18' , 10K trailer for $2500. For the $400-500 difference, I would still look around. Even if you had to drive a few hours, you might find a better deal. I would rather spend a little more, drive a little further, but get what would work for the tractor. 16' will be too short to allow you to move the tractor to get proper weight distribution and tongue weight.
16' is too short to have loader and 3 pt. attachment on at the same time.
Shop around for a longer trailer IMO.
As mentioned, if it needs tires it pobably needs brakes unless they never worked to start with.

No clue the size or length of the machine you are talking about, but as noted 16' is almost assuredly to short. You need to be able to properly ballance the machine & impliment on the deck. If you dont have 10-15% of the total trailer/load weight on the tongue, you are going to get sway problems.

There is no point in buying used trailers here in Colorado. They want new prices for any decent ones, sometimes without even factoring in the cost of needed tires & brakes. I looked for a long time before giving up & buying new. May be a different market in your state.

If your statement refers to me, I was talking about the OP's tractor (XG3025 w/ loader and implement).
Used trailers are scarce here too and rarely come up for sale which is why my last two were bought new.

Here is a photo of my tractor on a 16 trailer. It fits and balances fine, I just cant haul it with a cutter on the back.

Ended up buying a 18’ Load Trail brand trailer with 5200k axles. Really like this trailer. well made, D rings welded at corners, easy on/off jacks at rear corners, breakaway brake system, dexter axles and a good price.
