Do any of you have any experience with the 40 dollar gauge sets on ebay for the MF135's? Im looking to replace mine and I see sets for 40 dollars and also individual gauges for 40 dollars.

I bought some gauges for my Ferguson TO-35 two years ago. I needed the correct diameter, and I wanted them to light up . Finding them wasn't as easy as I had thought.
The gauges made in India were very inaccurate , and had to be recalibrated. To find an engine temperature gauge with a wide needle swing ( 270 degrees, as I recall) meant buying one marked in degrees centigrade. The volt meter was better quality, and was made for boats. The oil pressure gauge had a narrow swing, but it's adequate, considering that my well worn engine produces about 25 psig oil pressure under about any conditions.

The Indian gauges can be a bit of trouble.

1. Fuel Sender: The indian gauges dont match the standard Massey Ferguson fuel sender which is 30 ohms. The indian gauges are typically marked "240" Ohms. There was a standard diesel tank and a large capacity diesel tank with different senders.

2. Oil pressure gauges are OK and seem to be in the required ranged

3. The temeprature sensor seems to be a higher temperatur setting and the needle barely moves. So I would say that some Indian gauges for temperature are questionable.

4. Amp meters they are OK

Indian sellers appear to be businessmen who know nothing about what they sell. Dont bother asking question they dont know or dont answer. I have wasted a lot of money getting bits from India they seem to have their own local market for MF135 parts that is not related to the original parts. Sparex and other non genuine parts appear to come from a factory in Turkey who is the major internation supplier. Many of the UK sellers have genuine Lucas parts or NOS lucas and these are the best of the best if you can get them. My New Indian Gauges have rusted out or have become intermittement alread while the originals left outside on a shelf are still OK. You pays for what you get! I will also add the Indian switches are really crap and watch out for the little screw on the ligh globe holder on the Indian meters they will vibrate loose.

The one that calls himself Autometer-Inc advertises that for U.S. buyers his items ship from his new York warehouse. He is shipping them from India while you wait then he ships them from New York. It takes 12 to 14 days. He tried to tell me it's because I chose the slower free shipping. There isn't any shipping method that takes that long within the continental U.S.
He gives a fake Ups tracking number that shows no activity for 11 days then it arrives u.s.p.s from new York. At the least he thinks U.S. buyers are born in a barn. They don't look like the original gauges. At the least he lies in his ebay add. I don't like liars. He isn't very bright and thinks were idiot's.
