well, as soon as that 'sudden bout of ??' Came on.... It seems to have left. Felt really tired this morning, but within the last 4 hours, I now feel back to normal. Weird.... Never had anything like it before. Heading out for some errands now.

David, make sure we see some pics....it's about time you got a tractor to match the beautiful Island sky!! (Not to mention coming over to the LS side)

Jay, glad you were able to get over the 'respiratory issue' without any difficulty.

BEF, now you have to continue down the path of quick recovery...take care and get better!

David- I like the menu at the Paapaloa Country Store. I am amazed at how popular Spam® seems to be on many USA influenced(?) Pacific islands surrounded by an abundance and variety of seafood.

Ted- I am happy to read that your illness was brief. My respiratory "attack" came w/o much warning. I do not think an herbal bronchodilator would have worked by the time I reacted. I really should have a fresh rescue inhaler around, but it's a big waste of $ to keep them around unused until they expire. I do have a partially filled portable O2 tank as a "security blanket." I should check to see if it is still charged.

Spent the morning doing the watering and walking routine. Later I collected the remainder of the grass clips, mowed some more lawn, planted 3 hills of winter squash, and mulched more of the garden.

Excepting the hummingbirds, bird feeding season is officially over until the bears return to hibernating. That bear was getting a little too bold this morning. I do not need a bear B&E with Brogen home. I did have a face:face with a bear through a screened in window a couple of years ago. The bear and I surprised each other. Bear break-ins are fairly common around here. One lady up the road had a bear B&E her house 3X before MA Fish & Game darted it and relocated it. That bear really trashed her house and jumped through a large picture window w/o injury.

Hawkeye, what are you using as a final finish on that cap? Something really durable like liquid glass or some coating, that area takes such a beating from the sun.
When I washed mine with a long pole I always added extra wash and wax to the mop because I sure couldn't reach up there to wax it.
Out darned spot.

chased in by showers, sun now out, showers in ten minutes. Got some mowing done, killed about ten big fire ant mounds. Bad day for ants.

David/Sodamo, are you all hooked up now? Want to make sure you don't land in Oahu...

I'm using 3M products recommended by manufacturer (3M Perfect-It Boat).

I was able to get must of our overgrown yard mowed yesterday. We built the house in the middle of one of our pastures 10 years ago and have not done much with the grass, which is a mix of native grass and Bahia. With last weeks rains (and my laziness) ten days growth took time to cut. When it gets this high I mow it with the tractor and rear finish mower. It still looks crappy after a single pass as the mower leaves poorly cut areas where the tractor tires smash down the long Bahia stems. I'll either recut with the RFM or mow it all with the ZT, at right angles to original cut.

Started feeling really sick yesterday, had to lay down twice... Got dizzy when I was outside, seemed like my whole body was hurting, especially from my lower back up to my neck. Came out of nowhere.... Continued until going to sleep. This morning, still feel "beat up", but much better.... I may have been really dehydrated.

Hope your feeling whole lot better now,notice on the weather station you folk down there around 100F at times.

Really haven't given it much thought about bear B&E over the years,but I am sure they have put there nose on siding more than once.
Last spring I went to get my sweatshirt from the shed and young bear came running out with sweatshirt into the woods,guess he/she like smell of cigar smoke mix with jelly donuts stains.
Years back was putting set mower blades just happen look down driveway about 40' or so BIG boar bear was walking towards me :shocked:I made more dust than twister trying to get to my feet and make tracks.

82F clouds slowly moving in rain heavy at time clearing out by late afternoon.

Done for today,kindling all cut up like the Mrs. wanted and sorted...about pickup and half worth...just need that last cord wood deliver so I can stack kindling in the basement.
Taking a break while cutting kindling notice the Jake brothers..5 of them..were uneasy than I notice small fox pup putting sneak on them,well you might say the pup got learning real fast as it and headed for home. :laughing:
Shower shave good dinner about it until pillow time.
