How does your garden grow?

Great! I have been watering the tomatoe plant itself, what's left of them. How to water, without wetting the plant when they are lying on the ground???? Probably too late.

What a waste of time, energy and money! Depressing actually!

All the cabbages in this row except the one on the end started dying today.
Nobody has been in the garden since Thur. when the rain started. We did
receive a little over 8 inches of rain in the last 4 days. I have some other
variety of cabbage planted and it is unaffected. Never saw this happen before.
Anybody have any ideas.

Just eating some cold left over BBQ asparagus (fruit stand bought) from the weekend. To my taste, there isn't much tastier!

And the fact that it does not involve meat, makes it that much more appealing.

I would pull one up and dissect it. I suspect that you will find the roots have been destroyed, possibly by too much rain but more likely by some insect larvae.

I have never seen that on established plants. I also would look at the roots. I had simiar happen to about 100 cabbage once, but when they were very small. I blamed mice since I was using weed fabric between plants and I figured the mice used it for cover and went down the row.
