That could be a large part of it. But there always seems to be a person that has never had a tractor before, is not mechanically inclined (more of that nowadays), is attracted by the low price, and wants to start a hobby farm. And then some of it could be due to the one-time $15 fee Hal charged because he didn't accept advertising, and most people want something for nothing. It seems like Chinese tractors aren't nearly as widespread as they were a few years ago, I think the EPA regulations have really cut into their availability. Those who have them seem to have pretty much figured them out.
For some reason Muhammad doesn't want to recognize the Chinese dozers (I've tried), but you are always welcome here even though there isn't a dozer specific forum.Sad to see it go, I'm looking hard at getting a nortrac dozer and was looking forward to hopefully being a part of the community.

There is also Heavy Equipment Forums, of which I'm a long time member, that includes just about all equipment under the sun. There is "construction equipment". Until the excavator subject got popular enough, it did not have its own subforum either. Now it does. I do not know how many bulldozer owners are on TBN, but maybe not enough for a sub-forum yet.
I did not see the value to a separate Chinese equipment forum: CTOA. A lot of the value of TBN is not specific to particular makers or geographic origins. If a Jinma tractor owner has a technical problem or a how-to-use question, why wouldn't they want all tractor users to see the post? Similarly, a lot of us owners of non-Chinese tractors would like to read about Chinese tractors, if an interesting thread gets posted.
Now, I have a Chinese mini-X, and I am glad that TBN is a huge equipment community with thousands of daily readers and posters.

For whatever reason CTOA is back up and running. Anyone's guess as to how long. Site owner offered no explanation, or apology, for the downtime.I guess the lifetime membership I payed for was a short lifetime, hate to hear than, was the only forum that had info on the Chinese 3 cyl dozer.
Well I'm a new owner of an older Jimna 254 - just found out about CTOA from this this forum here. Think I'll send in the $15.00 - looks like some of my basic questions and advice for a newby can be found there. Dunno. Interesting dynamic these Chinese Tractors and Owners enjoy. Glad it is there. Glad this forum is here. Hopefully, I can contribute in the future and not just "ask questions"
