I heat my well and pump with a 90watt incandescent bulb. I have a nice stock pile of them, just in case.
My only concern is that they might burn out when you aren't around to notice. I've had that happen using heat lamps for baby chicks, except that I was home. The dog was going apes and woke me up in the middle of the night to the sound of "peep, peep, peep"

Maybe put in a splitter and burn four 25 watt bulbs so at least you have a backup. Or you could get a second fixture on a photocell that the lights a second bulb and sounds a buzzer.

That's pretty good. Our dog only went bark, bark, bark. ;)

Clothes line.

For some reason the previous owner bolted a manual pencil sharpener to the incoming electrical service transformer box. Never figured that one out or used the sharpener. I do not know why I mention this. :duh:

Old school garden hoses across the lawn and flower/shrub beds rather than underground. Impulse sprinklers, love the sound.

Wood heat

Paint things by brush

Wash cars by hand

Hand written grocery list (but cheat and take a picture of it, leaving the list on the fridge)

Marriage, seems almost a rarity now, and government officials who insist that I refer to my wife as 'partner', I point out that when we were married we were pronounced husband and wife, not partner and partner, I even cross the word out on forms, wife says I am just being pedantic, I say I am being stubborn and pig headed.

I use 2 Winter Watchman. One turns on a red trouble light mounted on the side of the garage and the second one turns on a second lamp. No problems in over 30 years.

I was apprehensive about putting my $500 Grundfos pump out there but I tired of the noise and the long run times of the pump while in the house. It makes more sense to push water instead of pull water and the electric bill had dropped significantly.

When we first moved out here, we would have to "write" the meter usage/numbers on a postcard that the electric co-op would send to us monthly. It always seemed that by the time we would walk out there, the pencil tip would be broken, or while you were writing the numbers down, you would break the point... After you had to walk back and forth a few times, you always took at least 2 pencils with you. Maybe the previous owner got smart and just figured he would put a sharpener out there "just in case":confused3:

Back when I had a well, I went the two incandescent bulbs in a "wye" fixture with one side on a photocell, then electricity was supplied through a thermostat. I used that rig for about 15 years with no problems other than checking on the bulbs once a month to make sure both were still working.

I use my phone calendar, which is gmail, for everything including keeping record of workouts, when certain jobs were last done, future jobs to be done etc. My phone is my alarm clock, works even if the power goes out. I post just about every event into my phone, my wife who is the tech person writes everything on a calendar on the fridge then asks why I don't know about something or why I didn't write something on it. she gets an invite to everything I put in my calendar but refuses to adapt to tech.

I use a dry erase board as my project board on the farm, sometimes a paper shopping list, often times a note on my phone though.

Proud of my 10-15 yr old flip phone. No texts, no tweets, no Facebook crap. I really don't care to know who's on the toilet taking a dump all the time.
Muscles, and crowbars for leverage.
Landline with old style answer machine
Paper shopping lists, but I do use a pen instead of a pencil. Less maintenance...
Paper to do lists.
Hand tools to do my own car/truck/tractor maintenance
Incandescent bulbs where ever I can use them. Didn't stock up on the 75's or 100's. shame on me!
Talk to people, rather than burning up Google and You tube to see how to perform a new task. Learn alot more and usually have fun doing it.
Wanted to keep Windows XP but my main vendor forced me to upgrade to Win 7 in order to conduct business with them. Still running 7 strong.
I'm old, so I've forgotten the rest.
