XR4140 PTO Shaft extender?

If you want to know the size of the shaft, it should be 1 3/8 by 6 tooth, standard sizing for a PTO shaft. That information is in your owners manual.

Do you have anything else with a pto shaft? I have never heard of a pto shaft extender. I would check the local farm eq sales paper or craigs list for another shaft.
in the FAQ's it speaks this issue.
"Will The Top Link or PTO Shaft Need to Be Replaced?
Since Pat's Easy Change system will result in implements being attached 3-4" further away from the tractor than with a standard 3-point hitch, if your 3-point hitch top link or your implement's PTO shaft only has a few inches of extra length, you may need to replace those items with longer ones. Manually adjustable 3-point hitch top links can be obtained inexpensively from a variety of sources, both online and offline".
I have never seen a PTO side "Extender" , But I have seen implement shaft replacements all over the place.

I would simply replace the pto shaft itself. That is one reason I have not gone with a quick hitch, I would probably need to replace the pto shafts on all my implements as well.
Taking a look at the extender, seems sturdy enough, but again, I see it as a point of failure. For me, I wouldn't go with this option. It maybe cheaper than replacing the entire shaft, but not worth the risk. I wouldn't do it.

Orsh only had the pin on type. I had to order the quick disconnect kind (less than $40)
I dont like to have to buy another piece...but being able to switch between my blades and brush hog that fast and easy is worth it.

You could also buy a length of PTO shaft tubing with the same profile you have and replace just the tube with the right length. This would be my choice.
PTO shaft extenders will create a lot of stress on the PTO bearings.
