I'm looking at buying this model, no cab, with FEL , grapple, box blade, landscape rake and HLA snowpusher. I'm looking for some feedback on this before I pull the trigger. I'm hearing its may be to small for what I want. Only issue I'm sort of having is that I have some hilly land and need to make some trails to get firewood out on an old boat trailer that i now use behind my 4 wheeler, what else do you guys use yours for and have you had any issues??

When in doubt..... ALWAYS buy a bigger tractor!

Shouldn't have to say....but never go sideways....always straight up and down.

I've done a lot with my T234. Mitsubishi diesel in mine. I paid $14,200.

I would love to have a bigger tractor but I need to trailer it and so store it in my garage. I'll look up the post about your 234. I'm gettin and worried about the power pulling a small log trailer and not having low enough gears since it's only hi and low, not 3 stage hydro transmission.

I never use high gear on my property. Only on the road when traveling to help my neighbors or the church with various things. In the beginning after purchasing it, I was desiring a medium gear but have faired well without it.

I push/pull a 5800 lb pontoon boat on a tandem trailer with easy.

Currently if things get unstable while up in the woods on the side of my hills, I just drop my box blade or loader down to the ground to prevent any travel . If I had a bigger tractor, i would be afraid the weight and gravity would not be in my favor.

Bigger tractor will also mean a bigger truck and trailer to pull it with. Unless you already have that covered....

I really like mine and has proven to do more than I thought possible.

I've been looking at your post and your trails look good, lots of work. Do you find you have enough power? I'm just worried about getting up the hill in my back yard in the loose dirt. 4 wheeler has lots of wheel spin and power if needed. How are you cutting the hills? With the bucket or with the box blade?

I've just recently started running at close to 2500 rpms since getting into heavy shale. I've cut most around 2000 rpm. The only time I didn't have enough power to climb a steep slope was when I accidentally hit my third remote valve open with my leg. Once I shut it off I climbed directly out.

I moved a rock that my loader arms could hardly bare, chained under my bucket and climbed 200ft up 30° slope half of that I had my parking brake on. (I thought it was just the weight of the rock slowing me down....I kicked myself good for that)

You will have 3 more hp but a kunje diesel....I cant speak for that brand. For travel, you will have more than enough power at the wheels. For lifting, it will lift the rear end with ballast filled tires and box blade if the load is too heavy at the bucket.

The bxpanded piranha bar really changed my trail digging, making it much easier. Mind you, I am digging up.....ideally you would want to dig down when possible. I rough cut with the loader and back drag the piles 1.5x the tractor length from where I'm digging. I then climb over, past my pile and drop the box to dozer the dirt down to a bigger pile. Pushing the bigger pile down hill is easy. Sometimes I'll back into the trail and level things out setting the rippers or blade angle as needed.

I really want to make some trails on my land. Alot of it can be accessed on pretty level ground, some steep but I'll just avoid that. I really want a grapple/root rake also too pull some brush from the ground and lift some logs. I looked at the 354 model but it's just more than I want to spend.

I also looked at a tooth blade do dig a bit, I need to put some culverts in and cover them up. I need that access spot to get to my wood.

You will be extremely happy with a bxpanded piranha tooth bar. It digs unbelievably well and clears/cuts rights through thick brush.
