"Insist on the right tires, R4 tires are popular and should suit you well, or force them to get what you want." n4 #20
I sense the R4's may be more puncture & cut resistant than turf. Don't know.

Problem is if I go R4, and they don't work on my driveway, the whole purpose of this purchase is to get me a snow machine that works well. Turf is the safe bet.

I hadn't considered the 3510. I see the HP jumps from 24.5 to 35. BUT !! I don't see air conditioning listed for either model. CK351 HST Value Tractor | Kioti Tractors

" Also in the kioti line of tractors your not getting AC until you jump up to the 3510 series, the 2610 and 2510 dont have AC just heat which means another 5 grand and DPF filter. " n4
I'm not an expert. Based only on what the New Holland salesman told me, DPF / Tier #4 is leprosy, AIDS, & a bad tummy ache all rolled into one, for my usage pattern.
"Now that doesnt mean you cant take the doors off in the summer." n4
Where would I store them for 5 months out of the year? Seems like a recipe for broken glass.
"Another option which I just bought was the Kubota B2650 only factory cab in that class and only tractor with AC along with heat. price with cab and tractor is about 21ish, loader

add 4 k add about the same for blower. " n4
I have no problem against Kubota. The problem is, there are 2 dealers within 50 miles. Neither one is any good. I spent 20 minutes with the 40 mile away guy. I did as he asked and e-mailed him the pics of my trade (Ford 1520). That was weeks ago. Still haven't heard from him.
I've done $thousands of $dollars of business with the 30 mile away Kubota dealer. Not good. If it's them or nothing, I'll get a horse.

PS
The best dealer by far around here is New Holland. Family owned. Excellent shop! But their Boomer compact is Tier #4, an axe in the forehead. That's why we're at the Kioti CK2610H; it's got Tier #3. Perfect for my infrequent use pattern.

When this salesman talks, does the noise come out his mouth or his @zz?

Tier 4 isn’t as bad as aids, leprosy, a tummy ache, or a hatchet to the forehead. Just read the owners manual and let the tractor do it’s regen every 50hrs or so. No big deal. The only tractor with known tier 4 issues is the Kubota B3350. Don’t buy one of those and you’ll be totally fine.

The ~35hp Kioti’s, Kubota’s, Yanmar’s, and others all have excellent cab options with heat and A/C.

Take a deep breath and relax about Tier 4 issues.

Thanks Ta #23.

Is the reason the tractors below 35 HP don't have A/C because the A/C compressor just puts too high a torque burden on the 25 HP engines?

I'd like to stick with the 25 HP range, because I think that's about what my Ford 1520 has now, and it's PLENTY !! BUT !! No air ! My Ford barely sips diesel. I only fuel it once or twice a year, 7 gallon tank. Transporting fuel is a logistical headache.

I don’t think so. Not many many manufacturers make cabs in sub 35hp models. Kubota has A/C in their 25hp B series tractor. Kioti is a bit of an odd ball offering a “field cab” without A/C. Some of the 25hp models are detuned large displacement motors like in the Kubota L2501, but to get a cab in the Kubota line you either have to go for a B series or jump all the way up to a Grand L. No cabs in the standard L series.

Why trade your 1520?
It should be EASY to sell on your own!

Well Mr. Snow Bird, I've got air conditioning in my car, but not my house. But the enclosure on the Kioti CK2610H is a greenhouse.

As the salesman configured it, there's no air conditioning. Should I get air conditioning with it? I don't know the extra $cost. But how bad could it be? A few $grand?

AND !!

Does the A/C really work on these tractors? Can I prevent my ice cream from melting in there?

Can't take $it with you. Screw the grandkids !

I think you somehow must have misinterpreted the intent of my response!

You are right of course. And I could probably do better.

BUT !!

I'm a hermit. This is the view out my kitchen window.

Not only do I prefer to not interact. There are $risks to doing $business that way. To sensible observers like you it looks like me surrendering the $difference between wholesale & retail. YOU'RE RIGHT !

- but -

That $money buys personal security, and risk & toil reduction.

BUT !!

Probably. I'm a product of the New York State public education system. Please pardon me.

SNIP......
I love my Ford 1520, BUT !! It's not easy to start below freezing, and gymnastics are required to prevent the NO OIL PRESSURE idiot light from staying on for half a minute before things loosen up in there, & the light goes out.
I don't like the raw diesel mist that leaves my clothes smelling like a tractor. Can't be good to breathe.
BUT !! Worst of all, getting snow blow-back in the face. I want to put a permanent stop to that !! And the solution only costs $30,000.oo What a frick in $bargain ! ! !

If you don't understand, you've never gotten snow in the face like that. It's not only unpleasant / painful. It's permanently disfiguring, AND EASILY PREVENTABLE !! It has absolutely nothing at all to do with ... "just want to try something different."
.....SNIP.....

Well I must say that's paints quite a different picture of your Ford 1520 than I got from your first posting.

Still, I must say that you seem to be just a tiny bit negative to the value in "wanting to try something different".
In my own humble opinion there's a lot of fun to be had in trying different things - easily $30K worth.
I personally would never knock novelty as a reason to change.

But then I'm one of those who also still like a bit of snow in my face. That's part of why we live where we do.
As for cabs - we have one tractor with and one without and both get used in the winter.
When the weather gets interesting, it can be a tough choice which one to use.

Alright:
An Independence Day update:

It seems the 25 HP CK2620H does not offer an air conditioning option. BUT !! Rumor has it
the 35 HP CK3510H does.

I don't know what the HP rating is on my Ford 1520. Whatever it is, it's plenty!

My reason for not wanting to increase from the 25 HP Kioti to the 35 HP Kioti is the 40% HP increase probably means a 40% fuel consumption increase. BUT !!
I'd be able to use it comfortably year around.
Without air conditioning, it might end up being a 3 season tractor, where during the summer I park it, and go fishing.
For anyone that has and uses air conditioning in their tractor, any tips?
