I got 2 loads of gravel on my bigger dump truck. It’s supposed to rain this weekend but if it doesn’t I’m going to try to put in a septic fill line. IMG_6987.JPG

Gordon load your tractor and blade up and come to Idaho. I have a road that needs to look that nice.

Oh boy is that not the truth . . . :drink:

I agree, the knotters should be the 8th wonder of the world!

I thought the boys room was wherever I'm at when I need to go.

Yes that's my most un-understood function on the hay baler...... 45 years ago when I help my BIL get hay in, he had a New Holland 68 baler with Wisconsin engine, Me and an older friend was walking behind picking up hay, watching the baler drop bales, I mention to him that's quite a fascinating machine, then he said "it's the thing that ties the knots that's fascinating", these hay stories bring back old memories.

Heres the exact same baler my BIL used back in the 70s, I remember that engine's governor working like in the video. He liked it for the fact he could make U-turns, tried to find a video on youtube in the hay field baling but I guess now everyone's wore them out and has new equipment. Stacking hay has sure changed in 45 years at least from what I remember, I sure dont recall this hay stacker back in the 70's............ If the farmers from 1919 could see the equipment in todays world wonder what they say........... Stacking Square Bales w/189 New Holland - YouTube

Son and myself dug a hole for a security light pole.
This was behind our church. One of the other trustees
is bringing the pole.
This was a fill area with mostly creek rock and the
occasional brick for good measure.

Went out this morning with dad to the farm. We had a few trees that came down a couple of weeks ago in a storm. Started working on cleaning some of them up. Didn't get it all down, but made good progress.

Also, I got Ken's Bolt on Hooks installed. Will be putting them to work in the near future.

Neighbor getting ready to seal his asphalt driveway and needed about 4 yards of primo planting soil moved. I volunteered and made about 20 or so trips from his driveway around to my house, across the lawn, and raised the sagging area that was from a bunch of fill I inherited from his Great Wall project a couple years ago.

Gave my tractor a good workout as I was constantly shifting from 2WD to 4WD and from turtle to rabbit as I was traversing pavement, gravel, and steep grass in spots to get to the delivery point.

Some may remember that thread a couple years ago where I was the recipient of 100s of yards of fill... actually no idea how much I ended up. There was talk about slumping then but I really didn't want to spend a bunch of time trying to layout geo-grid and hold up the guys excavating and dumping since it was free to me but on my neighbor's time.

Probably should update the 'building the wall' thread with a pic of my bank now!

Wonder how long does it take before realizing carrying a saw in a tractor bucket is a bad idea, only took me one day....

Looking at your wall thread, from the amount of fill you have there it didn't settle to badly I would say. And that's a really nice wall. Matches the way you keep your place. A good sized job for your BX, moving 4 yds of dirt.

What are you cutting with that? It's a good saw but I don't care for that small chain.

There are still pieces of my old husky 254 buried where I dropped the bucket to level off a berm in the trail, forgetting that the saw was in it... there isn't much more sickening than seeing your saw appear between the front tires.

I'm looking at a carry all, but the finance committee (aka wife) hasn't approved the additional expenditure. I had hard hat and face shield, leg chaps, chain oil, and gasoline along with the chainsaw all in the bucket. I just didn't think about taking the picture until I had everything out except the chainsaw.
