Nope. But I guess the question is why all these people seem to think they must unplug it. The mother in law with dementia I could understand, but apparently this is more widespread. Almost a compulsive phobia of some kind. When you do things that you know don't make any sense but you still feel compelled to do them, then that is a problem.

If you've ever crawled around in the attic of an old house that was later wired you know why the older generation was paranoid.

From inductive coupling. There is no inductive coupling from a battery to a concrete floor. There is an induction coil in the charger and an corresponding coil in the phone, they couple together much like a conventional AC transformer. If you will look at how a transformer is built. you will see there is NO direct connection between the primary and the secondary windings. So how can it possibly work you ask? Have you ever studied how ground and air charges move across the landscape? Lightning and lightning rods etc. There are always MOVING electrical field under foot. And under concrete floors. It's a possibility that wet cell batteries could be effected by such occurrences. Or not.....
