hey there dnw64. Are you in Brattleboro ? I am just over the border from bennington. I see you have a 3030 . That is what I am told is a decent machine for a snowblower. Are you happy with the 3030 overall ? And do you have a radio in yours ?

I received a quote from Empire Tractor in Cortland, NY on Thursday for a rear mount MK Martin-Reist Industries former Series 1000 48" cut + wing width rear mount for $2,860.00 USD +tax and freight with manual crank rotation for chute and manual spout angle adjustment(pin)

Minimum PTO horsepower for the 48 inch unit is 12 horsepower.

For the money invested in a front mount 2 stage with the hydraulic chute rotation and spout control with the underbelly frame and gearbox it would be worth getting a quote from them for a single stage front mount set up.

As Fallon says more power in the engine frame size is better for a smaller snow blower especially in my example below.

That was the great thing about the original 12 horsepower 1967 IHC cub, simplicity and wheel horse single stage snow throwers
mounted on these lawn tractors that I used while growing up as the simple V belt to gearbox to roller chain drive never failed and
they went through everything with out even a grunt with the hydrostatic transmissions.

A rear mtd 3 pt hitch is out of the question. I do not want to be backing up for all my snowblowing.

I guess you could purchase an Erskine rear to front drive shaft set up for your mule and remove the three point hitch on the riest
single stage to use the SSQA on it to mount on an underframe kit supplied by MK Martin for your tractor.

It may be well worth your while to contact Pronovost in Quebec and ask how much a front mount three point hitch kit will cost so you
can mount a single stage Riest snow thrower on it with no modifications.

Lol, ya. My Toyota Tacoma was noticably more American than a Ford Ranger when I got it. At least 15-20% more however they calculated that & built in Texas. Love it or hate it, globalization has changed things.

i didn't realize that ford's ownership of new holland so so short lived: (wikipedia)

The original New Holland Machine Company was founded in 1895 in New Holland, Pennsylvania; it was acquired by Sperry Corporation in 1947, then by Ford Motor Company in 1986, and then by FiatAgri in 1991, becoming a full-line producer. In 1999, New Holland became a brand of CNH Global (NYSE: CNH), which was majority-owned by Fiat Industrial. On 29 September 2013, CNH Global N.V. and Fiat Industrial S.p.A. were merged into CNH Industrial N.V., a company incorporated in the Netherlands

A great summary of the rest of fords tractor line here:
