Have a Land Pride LR3784 Rake. With winters warming up, I've had to remove my Pronovost Rear Pull Blower several times each spring (and occasionally in the fall before the ground freezes), and replace it with the rake to move the "slush". It's too heavy for anything but solid frozen ground and I'm getting tired of throwing my expensive hardpack into the woods, and replacing it annually.

I'm thinking of rotating the rake 180 degrees, building a "quick attach bracket to three point hitch" adapter, so I can leave the rake on the front end all winter. Has anyone ever built such an adapter for other normally rear mounted implements? Ideas?

I just did “SSQA to threepoint adapter” in google.

Consider that a Ratchet Rake bucket attachment may be cheaper and work as well or perhaps work better.

Note: I reside in Florida.
The FEL is too heavy. When I use the rake, I also use the gauge wheels to keep from digging in. A little "dig" is good though, because it will mix the soft hard pack up with the snow, which provides traction and also promotes more rapid melting in the sun. It really depends on the temperature of the snow and how far down the surface has melted.

Try googling front runner grader rake, heres a couple pics

I just did 鉄SQA to threepoint adapter in google.

At the top right of the TBN page, there's a "Google Custom Search" box that will look in TBN.
You'll have to scroll past all of the ads in the output, of course...

You can also search from normal google, and include "site:tractorbynet.com".

This works for any website, and you can also exclude sites by using a dash, eg "-site:pinterest.com" (super useful when you're trying to figure out what is in a picture and all you're getting on images is pinterest, I've found pinterest to be pretty but vapid, doesn't give any information about what the stuff is).

I use 3pt to Euro (or Global, as John Deere calls it) to put my muck fork on the back of my 3011 to clean out sheep pens with low attic. Or to put my pallet fork on the back of my 5718 to lift heavy pallets of concrete stones which my loader cant lift.

Doing it the other way around, i have had no use for, so far. But it wouldnt take more than a day of shop tinkering, and thinking it over whilst having a beer.

I recently got an adapter that mounts 3 pt implements on the standard skidder mount FEL. I haven't done much with it. But I did put my rake on it, without turning the rake around, so it would work while reversing (this will let me drag debris out of tight spots).

I found that the whole setup is quite floppy, with a lot of play. Now, this is partly due to pin size adapters I still haven't figured out. Out there in the woods none of the pin adapters I had would fit over the pins and also pass into the holes, and I left not being sure what the problem was. But it is also due to the skidder/3pt adapter having lower pin holes in these sliding assemblies that you slide together over the pins, as they are a bit floppy with no way to tighten them. And of course the FEL has more play than the 3PT hitch has -- that is, my FEL bucket will rock back and forth in the curl direction much more than anything mounted to the 3pt would rock.

So, how weird is this? I think in the case of the rake I might actually like it being so loose. The rake might have a foot of freedom to move up and down at its ground contact, but certainly 6" at least. For some ground conditions, including my lane, this is actually enough to be a "float" mode, with the FEL itself being locked in place, and the rake contact force being its own weight only.

Your mileage may vary....
