Have to take wife to dentist later. Looks like she lost piece of a crown. Hope they have a lifetime warranty.

71°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 81° today. The expected rains for today arrived right on schedule ... during morning rush hour. Supposed to rain much of the day. The bright side is that this front is sweeping away the heat and humidity that built up again over the weekend. Low 80s for the rest of the week.

Got a whole lot of nothing done this weekend. Nephew has a court ordered class he has to attend on Saturday mornings for 26 weeks. I waited around to see if I had to take him, but he didn't come home after work Friday night. In fact, he didn't come home until about 6:30pm Sunday. Missed his class, of course, fourth one in a row. Now he has to start over. And, I missed the decent temperatures to do what I wanted to get done in the morning before it got too hot. Wife was fuming mad at him all weekend. Me, I'm just disappointed.

We did inside stuff Sunday, took a short nap, then went to see an afternoon movie and have dinner. Wife wanted to see the new remake of Lion King. I wasn't all that thrilled about it, but it turned out to be a pretty decent movie. Admittedly, the CGI these days is incredible.

It was catch up time over the weekend.. got up early Saturday, went to town to get diesel and gas for tractor and mower. First up was the pasture mowing, got all done in about 6-7 hrs. Too hot to spray and the winds picked up so was done for day. Stopped on way home from church to get more spray chemicals and then took mower off tractor and got sprayer on, took awhile as I had to put loader and forks on to get sprayer down from storage, then take loader off to spray (it is nice not to have loader on when not needed).. Light breeze mostly, hot but not too bad, sprayed 2 tanks (30gal), need to spray some more in yard, but not now.

My ZT mower needs some maintenance, mowing deck has a problem, not cutting even, perhaps one evening this week.

I ordered a 70 dollar dash cam from Youtube, ...

I did that last week as well. I just got a cheapie $20 unit from Amazon. Had 4.5 stars, so I figured what the heck. Most reviews said it was pretty good for being so inexpensive. Did it mostly for my own and my Wife's amusement. I always tell her about all the ridiculous things I see during my 2+hours of commuting. Be fun to watch the videos, too. Maybe I'll edit the fun stuff together and start one of those YouTube channels with crazy driving videos. :laughing: ... or not.

Looks like my spraying was not as effective as usual.. pretty late to be spraying Canadian thistle, might have to put some Roundup on it early morning when it is cooler.

What herbicide are you spraying Hawk? Glyphosate? Are you using a surfactant?

Good evening all. 80F for the start, partly cloudy, and light wind. Sky clouded up, wind became moderate, shift to north then later back south, rain began 9:30AM temp dropped to 75F and high temp was 88F. bike ride to start morning, then rain killed the mowing and outside work. Need to get replacement rain gauge. Did get a nap in in did not get any useful inside work done
