Hello everyone. I have 4 acres with a house, barn, shop and well house. I have a 15 gallon Fimco spray rig which I pull with my mower. I am considering a 4 gallon back pack sprayer for lesser amount of spraying around the place. Question; what are thoughts about battery operated or lever pump action?
I did some research and Chapin sprayers seem to be made well.
thanks in advance and as always stay safe.

I have a Solo piston pump 4gal backpack sprayer. I bought it from the neighbor used when they had a sale and it has been flawless for about 20 years now. Working the lever is natural and is easy to operate.

With your 15 gallon rig available for larger area's, I wouldn't want to have to fool with and maintain batteries just for some spot work.

I have the 4 gallon Chapin 20v that I mount on my golf cart usually. Only use on my back when spraying trees. I bought it because I already had a bunch of the correct 20v batteries. Would not want to be without it. Sprays forever on a charge. No way would I hand pump again.

I had a 4 gallon pump type backpack sprayer awhile ago. It worked fine, but it wore me out after awhile and I just never used it again. For my big spraying needs, I have a sprayer mounted on a trailer that I use for my fence lines, and for my small areas, I use a 1 gallon sprayer. It doesn't wear me out and I either do refill it and keep using it, or I just do a gallon and then another gallon the next day. After a few years of being in they way and starting to fall apart, I threw away the 4 gallon backpack sprayer.

+1 So do I. A couple stokes on the pump handle is all it takes. I'm 70 and I don't find it at all exerting.
