ERR202 on my 4720

I'm getting an err202 after letting my 4720 sit for a couple months in a field. Some wires were chewed through by mice, I'm guessing. I'm getting ERR202 which is IAT out of range. I looked and sure enough, those wires were chewed through.

I fixed the wires with male/female connectors as best I could. I'm still getting the error.

Anyone have any thoughts? How can I troubleshoot? There is also a small green wire on the back of the alternator that was cut and still is. I dont know how I'm going to fix that, nor what it is. I dont know how they'd be related but I'm out of ideas.

Can't help, but bet a service tech manual for your 4720 would be a big help.

I redid the connection between the cut wires. Same code. Grrr

Wango....whatever chewed up your tractor, I had chew up my wood splitter. I'm not sad that the critter headed south though. I hope you get some luck fixing your tractor! :drink:

I cant seem to figure out this ERR202. First off, can someone else verify what that code is? I am thinking it is not what I thought it was. The sensor that i repaired the wires on was I believe the AL150289 - which is a pressure switch for a clogged filter.

It is in fact the Intake Manifold Temperature error. There are several sub codes that you can access with the display to tell you wether it’s out of range high, out of range low etc. you will have to find the sensor and work backwards to the engine computer verifying the integrity of the wiring and the sensor itself in the process.
Now would be an excellent time to obtain a repair manual.
Find the sensor, and I can give you a few pointers as to where it terminates on the ECU

I have access to the John Deere TM2137 Technical Manual for the "4000 twenty" series. Unfortunately I cannot find any reference to an IAT, Manifold Temp etc. I'm going to keep pouring through it but I'm good with searching - must be called something else?
