Backup camera added to RK55HC

hi Gunny,

How tall and wide is the monitor with and with out the mounting bracket. I like where you mounted it over the steering wheel but I don't want it to stick up over the end of my hood.

I’ll have to try and get some measurements when it’s not storming like crazy out. I have no problem seeing the front of the hood and the top of my brush guard. So unless you’re really short, lean back far in the seat or hunch over when you drive, it shouldn’t be an issue.

I壇 like to get one, my place is covered in trees and my brush hog has found A tree more than once when I知 backing up etc.

I just don稚 want to mount it on top of my dash. I need to look to see where I could mount the display.

Gunny, it looks like you have a cab tractor, so the moniter is in the shade. Has anyone put one of these on an open station tractor? I am worried I won't be able to see anything on the moniter, like using a cell phone in the sun.

If you are actually in Cuba, I'd honestly worry about it over heating as well. I'm not sure of the way they all work, but I work in a wedding industry, and anyone with electronics seems to get their stuff overheated real fast if its 85+ and sunny out.

These screens could be different, but I'd maybe ask the manufacturer about it before buying.

My confusion! I think they might make screen protectors that help with sun wash out, maybe a google/amazon search would turn something up.

It does come with a sub shade, albeit not a deep one, but enough to cut down some glare. As far as heat goes, not sure, I try to keep it around 70 degrees in the cab.
