We bought a 2 pack on Amazon, they work fine and will get hotter than you need it. Keep in mind they are held on with elastic straps that will eventually break. But be careful getting in and out and they will last a long time. A great option for cars without them. Not sure why everyone is telling you about their factory heated and cooled seats when that really doesn't help you in any way.

It does if he decides to upgrade/swap/replace his seats vs just adding cushions. ;)

I'm the OP and am going to find a simple seat cushion that's heated. It may or not be held on with straps that break and that's OK with me. There are so many competing brands that it's difficult to decide which one rates the best and I'm trying to figure that out now. I'm just trying to get some heat on the old aches and pains without spending $10,000 more to buy an upgrade package on a truck that includes heated seats as an option.

I'll bet in a few years heated seats will be standard original equipment on vehicles. They're that good when it's cold or damp out.

I can't remember which one's we bought on Amazon but I believe they were under $40 for 2 of them and they work fine. They get hotter than any factory seat I have ever used. Once you get in and sit down they don't move around. No reason to break the bank on something so simple.

If thats the case, then just go to walmart.

Two for $23.

For $23 buck I figure I will give them a shot. I have factory heated seats and steering wheel in my truck and it is awesome. Under 40 degrees they automatically come on when you start it with the remote start so it is very comfortable when you get it. My wife does not have heated seats in her SUV so I will give her one of these to try. Planning on buying a new SUV next year but for $23 bucks it will hold her over to we get a new one. She has arthritis so having the extra heat really makes her more comfortable so I look forward to her trying them.

I had seat heaters in our 2000 impala with leather seats. Very nice in winter and even summer on long drives. Our 2013 impala has cloth seats and no seat heaters. I don't miss them too much.
