Buying Advice What Auger to Get-Kubota M62 and ASV RC30

Hello All, I am new to the forum, so thanks for having me. I live In Key West FL, and I am in need of a New Auger, I had a Land Pride that came with my Kubota, but its just not strong enough for down here. The Keys are solid CapRock/Limestone and I would ideally like something that I could use on both my Kubota M62 and my ASV RC30. Most holes are for Auger Piles for homes and usually go as deep as 12' and 18''-24'' so its gotta be tough and strong.

That task sounds like it is well beyond the capability of anything you are likely to put on either one of those machines.

12' deep equals a lot of extensions. Take a look at the McMillen line of post hole diggers. We have a X1475 we will run on our KX057 and M7060. We have dug a few holes about 4-5' in boney soil without any problem. They do make a rock auger which is advertised to drill through rock/concrete. There is a video out there online drilling through concrete. We are holding off for now on the rock auger until we find a need for one.

I would get a planetary drive unit and some rock ripper bits (Pengo, McMillen, Belltec, etc.)
