Finally got the 7060 home

I have found with my 7060 and cutting, I'm using about 1-1.25 gal/hr. This is with a 6' cutter on the 3-point. The ROPS model has an 18 gallon tank. For you to use 13.5 gal in 5 hours, that's seems really excessive. Maybe the tank wasn't full when you started?

Also, you are correct in that ePTO reduces RPMs about 400 RPM when working at a 540 PTO speed. I like ePTO a lot.

I filled it to the top of the fill neck before I started. IMG_1890.JPG
It had .9 hours on it when I started mowing.

Don稚 get excited about fuel usage based on gauge readings. It is not even worthy of discussion (but will probably go on for several
pages). Start with a full tank, do a defined amount of area or time, and measure the quantity required to refill.

Yep. Then if you can say you mow "all day" on 1/4 tank of fuel I'll say you have an exceptionally efficient tractor!!!

One other small complaint I have is the PTO switch. In its current location when I am holding on to the handle on the fender my arm lays right across it and kicks it off once in awhile. In Kubota痴 defense your probably not supposed to be on a bank so steep that you are holding yourself in the seat with that handle.View attachment 618488

I wonder if we can move the existing handle rearward? Or design another one rearward from that one?

It will probably end up with washer fluid in the rear tires. I can buy it super cheap at work, and this tractor will always be parked in a heated shop so I知 not worried about anything freezing.

If the power of your FEL versus weight of the tractor is similar to my M9540 you'll probably need fluid. I have cast centers and one pair of weights plus liquid and I still carry a BB for ballast.

Now if you can roughly measure the amount of fuel to refill you'll know your consumption.

You are pulling 25% more cutter than inode so your results may vary from his.

I mowed roughly 8 acres and spent 5 hours doing it. I’ll be interested to see what it takes to fill the tank.

I had to have bucket weight yesterday and I’m glad the bucket is as big as it is. I was backing over the pond bank to mow it and a couple of times I thought I was going to go over backwards. Went and got a big ol scoop of black dirt. Still felt like I was going to tip over backwards but just kept telling myself there surely wasn’t anyway I could.

Congrats on the tractor. I also have the ROPS 7060. You got about 9" of height on me, so I guess I don't have that knee to shuttle shifter clearance issue like you do. Same for the 4x4 button, seems to be in a good spot for me..? Anyways, I'm interested in what you get for fuel usage. It does seem rather excessive.
