On pages 2M14-16 in the workshop manual and lists the requited lockup pressure and adjustments. You need to download a copy of the WSM from Kubotabooks. The control valve will external, on the side of the transmission case (as is all Kubota's).

I didn't really want to look but I did because I have the time.

Thanks. I have the manual. I値l check it out when I get home next week.

OK, I put the pto shift lever in the 'on' position with the tractor off and the mid pto shaft spins freely. I started the engine and engaged the pto and then turned off the engine with the pto engaged (mower deck spinning). Once stopped, the pto shaft still spins freely. So on my 2200, the engagement of the pto shift lever does not lock up the pto shaft when the tractor is turned off. I don't think you have a pto power problem.

Try holding the mmm pto shaft locked with a wrench and then spinning the blades and see what gives first. I'm wondering if maybe your new belt is too long or possibly installed incorrectly? My second thought is the blades aren't tight. I've had issues with the latter several times over the years.

ALL PTO drives on ALL late model Kubby tractors (in the last 10 years, maybe longer) are via a wet multi plate clutch pack) no matter what the drive system is for the traveling gears and that is exactly how the pto shaft should operate.

Note that the pto clutch pressure is very low when meeting spec. Only 139 psi so its relief valve setting is critical.

You do NOT want it to continue to slip as then you move to serious repair issues.

Thanks. I will recheck the belt, but it seems tight. Have had loose blades in the past so I know how to tighten them. Generally it is only one blade and you can tell which one after cutting a swath of grass. Washers and blades are fairly new. Wonder why the rear pto can only be twisted by hand when the lever is disengaged, but not the mid PTO.
