New garage and home build

Yea, that same here in tat pantry unit. We raised all the cabinets 1.5” because we’re tall and they’ll put that baseboard on after they replace that panel. Trust me, they’ll do it, the wife is tenacious about stuff like that.
Lol, if you got a contractor doing it, I'd be on him. In my case, my contractor was me so i went easy on the contractor.

Your house is amazing, i really like the open kitchen living area. Great job.

Ive been in my house 22 yrs, still missing a small piece of baseboard in the kitchen. No one has ever said anything about it, except my wife...

Same with my brother's home... one weekend of work to knock it all out... 20 years later still not done and then when they put the home up for sale... we knocked it out as well as top to bottom deep clean with a light pressure wash, repairing screens, making all the doors and windows operate smooth...

My sister-in-law said why are we doing this for people we will never meet when it was not a priority all the years we lived here?

We sold our house of 40 years last Spring. Vacuumed the floors after furniture was removed. That was it.

Garage is near done. Overhead doors tomorrow and the front vinyl shake style shingles going up.

I like having a porch or roof line over garage doors to keep some of the rain off of them.

I noticed today the door frame on my back garage man door is rotting. Just under 20 years. One on barn much worse in less yrs.

I feared the same thing about my man door so I made sure we had the extra overhead roof. At least on the front.

One more day! Well, I have to do the stone on the corner as I fired the mason. He first tried to squeeze more money out of me and then continually didn’t show up. I’m sure it’s someone else’s fault.

I've never met a mason that didn't march to a different drummer or that didn't drink like a fish.... BTW, looking good.

I never built the fireplace / chimney on my house because i thought the mason was overpriced 22 yrs ago.. I got fireplace foundation built up to the floor level.

I now have pellet stove there, will never build the fireplace now.

Oh, did you remove the car before putting in the man door?
