Home Depot Bulldog 700 4x4 UTV?

Well the $125 starter was close, but no banana so I took the original one to a local guy that repairs them. $85 later I have a new looking starter that spools up smooth as silk. So I scrubbed the Bulldog down with shampoo and parked it out front of my place with a for sale sign on it. On Day 3 my neighbor called and wanted to drive it. They are older and only have a ATV which the wife did not want to drive at all. So we struck a deal for $2800 and they took their new to them UTV home. The Bulldog was 5 years old and we paid about $7500 for it w/options.

With my down payment in hand I went into 'aquire mode' on a Mule. Shopping around I found that the 2020 Mule Pro FX was already on the dealer lots and that the 2019's were going at a substantial discount even though they are the exact same machine. I also noticed about a $6-800 difference between the Pro FX and the Pro EPS(Electronic Power Steering). The Pro is a large machine, long and wide so power steering might be a wise choice. Everything I read said....'get the EPS'.

After wasting some time with a few low ball internet dealer prices that added over $2000 in fees I settled on a local dealership that had a 2109 EPS model on stock. Dealer had added a roof($300) and a solid windshield($500). It wasn't a folding windshield, so I had them remove it and I kept the roof. Total was $11,800 and we picked it up yesterday evening. All I can say is ....."wow". It's quiet, smooth, comfortable and the bed is ginormous....did I mention QUIET??

So now I just have to add a street legal kit(we can get tags for them here), seat covers(no burned buns), a windshield, winch mount plate(already have winch), a led light bar(already have) and we are in business.

Was $11,800 total with sales tax? Or does your state not tax them? If you had to pay tax, how much was that (if you don't mind)? Did the $11,800 include the roof too? THANKS!

Excuse all the cost questions, I've been wanting either a Mule Pro FXR, CAN AM HD8, or Arctic Cat/Textron/Tracker Prowler Pro.

Whether you pay tax here or not depends on whether you have a "farm card" (that requires registration with the state as an active farming operation, which requires that you have been filing farm income statements on your federal taxes for at least two years.)

I don't know about my neighbor across the mountain, but I'm just one year in, so I had to pay sales tax of 9.75% (we have no income or personal property tax here in TN so the sales tax is kind of high instead - even if you work for cash under the table the governor gets his cut when you spend it.)

I was trying to get a price idea, by asking if he paid any sales tax. I know I will have to pay sales tax when I buy.

No tax, I threw down my Farm Tax ID:). Yes it included the roof. There was a $1600 difference between the 2019 model and the 2020 model, so if you are serious, call around and be prepared to drive a few hundred miles for a deal. I had a big dealership in Illinois and WV quote me a couple hundred over that price and did not include a roof on 2019's, so I think my deal was pretty good.

Btw, there is a HUGE storage area under the middle of the seat that Kawasaki decided to leave 'blank' and sell us a plastic bin to fit in there for $150. Its like 28x18x22, so I am going to pick up some diamond plate and weld up a box that drops down into that hole. A fella could carry just about any tool needed on the farm in that thing.

Thanks for the reply and pictures. Good price with the included roof! Is there room behind the seat, or does the box go to the seat back? I could not tell from your pictures, but it looks like there is extra space where the two row seat version stores the second row seat. I know you do not have the second row seat.

Also how do you access under the seat? Does it fold forward or back?

Looks great.

the Deere 835M has a huge plastic bin under the passengers seat.

I do like the doors. The Gator has a net with a seat belt type attachment to keep you in.

OTOH, it was the idiots with their lawyers that got these things as they are. I like an old golf cart with easy in/out design.
